I will first outline what is certain in this sudden spell of uncertainty:
The Rimskaya Legislature will be entering into recess as planned, and will reconvene as planned, unless there occurs an immediate threat to the motherland.
The R.P.A. will continue their advancements in North America as per their orders and will not be stopping unless we receive individual contacts.
We will also be addressing a supposed insurgency in Cuba, as this poses an untold danger to the refugee efforts from Hispaniola. This will most likely be done via military means, though it is hoped other methods may be sought.
As for the situation itself, the most recent updates are as follows:
The fog is continuing to expand, though its speed has slowed and stabilized at around 30 miles per hour. As of now the island has been around 80% evacuated, with casualties standing still below 100 overall, though the exact number is unknown.
We are unsure of how the fog will react upon contact with the water. If it stops expanding, we will continue the evacuations and investigations as they have been going, followed by researching attempts to remove it, as well as it's seemingly mythological inhabitants.
If the fog continues to expand over the water, it will be met with an immediate National Emergency declaration, which will entail the following:
-The R.P.A. shall halt all expansion of the borders and focus all resources of protection of the state.
-All islands in the Caribbean shall be evacuated to the nearest mainland region.
-Defensive Positions will be constructed along the Southern coast of the Floridian Peninsula.
-The fog shall be proclaimed a threat to the state and people, and will be met with military measures to see it destroyed, and all living therein either captured or terminated.
At this time, all foreign requests to send aid such as gas masks and medical supplies, as well as humanitarian relief for the refugees is being funnelled into the state as efficiently and quickly as possible, but the risk of the fog expanding over the water is complicating the potential routes to shelters.
We are doing everything the state is capable of to handle this potential paranormal disaster and protect the lives of the Rimskayan and global population. We will monitor the situation closely, and provide updates as they become available.
