With 12 months until the next Presidential election, the Labour Party has had their worst set of election results yet.

The party is now the 3rd party in Parliament, and the 4th party in the Mayoral Council, therefore possibly losing control of the entire legislature.

Despite losing seats there is a chance the President's party (Labour) can remain in control of the legislature in an official coalition.

The President released this statement:

"This is a disappointing, yet not unexpected set of results.

We will continue to work the best we can for the people of this country, in my place as President and as either within a coalition or as opposition in this Parliament.

While I am disappointed it is great to see democracy at work".

The Social Party leader said:

"The public have expressed their will in a Social Party led government. We urge the Labour party to stand aside and let the Social Party show how we will make this country a better place.

We have 12 months to show the electorate that we should be the next President"
