Judicial Nominee Karl Jansson found guilty of bribery by a Grand Jury of National Justice, likely to appeal

GBN-           Karl Jansson, a judicial nominee previously covered by GBN when originally arrested and charged with bribery, was found guilty Monday by a Grand Jury of National Justice. Jansson, a former member of the General Counsel as a member of the Conservative Party before becoming a judge, release a statement shortly after the conviction was made public stating that he was innocent and was being “attacked for holding not a left-wing political view.” Jansson later added that he and his legal team were “exploring their options” to figure out the best move. Meanwhile, Jansson will be required to report to the Norrbotten rehabilitation facility within 48 hours to begin his 3-year sentence.
