Some time this morning, an ancient Infulan technology cache was discovered. The excavation team attempted to secure it, but accidentaly detonated a bomb wiping half of it. All the technology that wasn't in some way impervious to the blast, whether from its armor or natural obstacles was completely wiped along with numerous personnel. It was discovered the bomb wasnt meant to detonate for another couple of years, beacuse at some point during an unkown war a fatal miscalculation had the bomb explode 40 years after it was supposed to.
These bombing runs were common in the times of Infula Atlantis as hundreds of technology caches were buried and near the end of Infula Atlantis they were desperately trying to destroy them so the enemy couldnt get their prying hands on advanced Infulan technology. To date, its unkown why Infula Atlantis buried technology in the first place, and which enemy it was that took down Infula Atlantis and led to the establishment of Croatia and later Corsica.
The bomb itself was primitive by our standards, in the late 2050's Infula Atlantis was in its golden age of technology but due to the time we've had to develop other tech most of what would have been considered "high-tech" back in the day is caveman technology to us now. However, due to the IMMENSELY vast amount of technology lost throughout the ages, just some basic everyday tech from the 2050's is futuristic and mega-advanced to us. Not to mention advanced technology in the fields we dont even understand yet!
While we still havent found some of the most crucial technologies, we've discovered some exciting new ones. On our list of most important tech which we so desperately search for is also
Huge machines of war, we dont have the technology nor resources to make new ones and they are heavily limited in numbers. They are used strictly for defending cities in case of emergency such as enemies making it to Corsican land. Its borderline impossible to take them down.
While we can not release more information on other technology due to security concerns, rest assured that we are in search of extremely powerful technology that has the capability to boost us back up to our rightful place on the international stage. And, fret not, we will eventually find OUR rightful tech.
