Zapote wins a thrilling 3-2 game against an aggressive Biohazard squad
In the lead-up to the inauguration of the first Wastelander Cup, Zapote and Biohazard conducted a friendly game match. Zapoten Captain Juan Guanajuato was reported to be excited and thrilled to lead the national squad against Biohazard “We're very ready, and very interested in winning the game yes” stated the striker in lead-up to the match. The Biohazard squad presented itself as usual wearing hazmat suits and carrying dozens of luggage, a brief scuffle was observed between Biohazard players and Zapoten security staff as a strange Brown powder was seen to be released on the spectators by Biohazard Coach Levetton Dickus.
The match got off to a quick start in the minute 3 when Biohazard striker Biggus Cheese, scored a thrilling goal on an unsuspecting Zapoten goaltender which had been distracted by the Biohazard bench which had been conducting a grilling session. Zapote was quick to return the favor some 15 minutes later with Juan Guanajuato scoring a riveting shot off the left goalpost on Biohazard goalie Elber Galarga. Both teams entered the halftime having held a predominantly defensive game, which had literally led to a member of the crowd to die of boredom. Both teams held a minute of silence in honor of the unknown crowd goer which had died of boredom.
Fortunately for us still stuck watching this game, the Zapoten squad was quick to start off the second half, with Juan Guanajuato scoring a seemingly impossible goal on minute 49 off Elber Galarga which had been caught in the field after his leg got stuck to the floor by Zapoten Coach Nguyễn Xuân Trung, using Flex Glue. The Biohazard squad after having called a timeout following minute 54 could be seen injecting themselves with all sorts of illegal substances, which made them the fastest, smartest, and strongest players in existence. At minute 57 another timeout had to be called as Biohazard defender Denise Nolan, brought a chalkboard to mid field and began writing down a complex algorithm that could allow the Wasteland society to develop Nuclear Fission. As play resumed a couple minutes later, tragedy struck as on a shot by Biohazard striker Yasmin Harper killed Zapoten goalie Taco Bell Fajitas. Taco Bell Fajitas had to be carted off the field after he was literally disintegrated by the shot.
In a moment of luck a Category 90 tornado struck the arena, but exclusively only affected players from Biohazard. Within minutes the entire Biohazard squad had disappeared off the pitch. The Zapoten squad were quick to take advantage of this issue, scoring goals in minutes 69 and 89, setting the game at 3-1. Despite the field being devoid of any Biohazard player or even fans, the Zapoten team managed to score an own goal at extra time, when Zapoten players lost orientation and accidentally started playing against themselves with Juan Guanajuato scoring goal number #2 for Biohazard with the game ending at 3-2. Zapoten coach Nguyễn Xuân Trung called it the greatest game played on Earth.
