18% Chance of Rain this week

Just a few minutes ago, on this sunny and hot June afternoon, the city of Seattle-Tacoma has experienced an unexpected 3.0 earthquake.
Throughout this week the entire country- situated on the Rim of Fire- has been experiencing a series of very frequent tiny tremors- about 5 per hour- but none have been this big.

Residents of the states of both Washington and Lincoln are worried that these are the early warning signs of a possible future eruption of one of the volcanos marking the border of the states. These worries can be justified with the fact that both Mt. Rainier and Mt. Saint Helens are number 1 and number 2 on most likely volcanoes to erupt. In fact, 3 of the top 5 most likely volcanoes to erupt are in Cascadia. But this is not just the last of it, these also resemble the early warning signs of Mt. Hood's eruption nearly 12 years ago.

Volcanologists and geologists have been sent along the San Andreas fault and all 13 volcanic peaks of Cascadia to study and try to uncover the true origin of these tremors.
