Vizcaino Radio Station, Orbis Date - November 30, 2086

After intense fighting this month in the cities of Vizcaino, Scott, Collstein, Standford, and Pas-Ecore, the Vizcain Royal Army has been completely wiped out with over 156,000 casualties estimated so far in soldiers, conscripts, and volunteers. Even as we are unable to retaliate, enemy forces continue to assault our cities, massacring remaining military personnel and civilians alike.

During these turbulent times, the Council authorized the use of long-range missiles against vital infrastructure in large cities of the invading countries, which according to the Vizcain military doctrine are only to be used during defensive wars where all other options have been exhausted. However, this has proven unable to deter our enemies from striking our nation, and so our people were immediately relieved when it was announced by our allies in the larger conflict that diplomats managed to secure for peace with the other part. However, the dishonest enemy lied and failed to uphold their part of the deal, and so attacks continue to this day. Details are still mostly unknown during the ongoing war.

After this treacherous act of villainy, our allies increased resolve for war efforts, and so our country was quickly assigned a generous grant for development of nuclear armament. While our nation has enjoyed the benefits of cheap and clean nuclear energy for powering up industry, commerce, and household needs, our citizens have always frowned upon weapons of mass destruction, a point of view which our government and the Council typically shared. This quickly changed however as the invasion took its toll, and Vizcain physicists and engineers worked tirelessly around the clock to successfully manufacture a nuclear bomb, which is rumored to be developed inside a secret military base near the city of Celeste in the deserted southeastern mountain range of the country.

After much deliberation by the Council, the decision was made to make our first nuclear test against one of enemy cities. I’m sure I speak for all of the Vizcain people that we DID NOT WANT TO DO THIS, but there’s no reasoning with warmonger thugs, and the intense ransack of our nation and all the lives that were lost because of this unprovoked and unjustified aggression leaves no other option. At November 30 2086 Orbis Date, Field Marshal Abigail Carmine, under full Council authorization, ordered a successful nuke strike against the city of Alpha Sagittarii, killing an initial estimate of 67,412 civilians, although many more are to be expected once we have official damage assessment and more people succumb to radiation diseases in the following days. Our thoughts and prayers go to the innocent lives that payed consequences for the actions of their dishonest leaders who care not for them.

May our future generations forgive us for this action.
