The President

The President is the Commander-in-Chief of the Tanian People's Armed Forces and the head of state of the People's Republic of Tania.

The President is elected by the National Assembly of Tania after each legislative election or whenever a confidence vote in the President is initiated by the National Assembly.

The President may approve or reject laws passed by the National Assembly of Tania. The President's veto may not be overridden.

 

 

The Prime Minister

The Prime Minister is nominated by the President and elected by the National Assembly after each legislative election, which takes place every two years, and is the head of government of the People's Republic of Tania.

The Prime Minister may exercise authority over the Armed Forces through the State Secretary for Defence, who is a member of their cabinet.

The Prime Minister is subject to a confidence vote by the National Assembly, which may be passed by a simple majority. If a Prime Minister loses a vote of confidence, they cease to be Prime Minister, and the President must nominate another to the National Assembly.

The Governor

The Governor of Borneo Special Administrative Region is the representative of the President in Borneo SAR, appointed directly by the President. They are, in effect, the head of state of North Borneo.

The Governor is empowered to approve or reject laws passed by the Borneo Regional Council, their veto may not be overridden.

The Governor may command military forces on the island of Borneo and has full control over the Borneo Regional Police.

 

The Chief Executive

The Chief Executive of Borneo Special Administrative Region is the effective head of government of Borneo SAR, nominated by the Governor and elected by the Regional Council of Borneo. They function similarly to the Prime Minister of Tania.

The Chief Executive has no direct control over Tanian military forces, authority may only be exercised by the Governor; however, the Chief Executive has full control over the Borneo Regional Police.

The Chief Executive is subject to a confidence vote by the Regional Council, which may be passed by a simple majority. If a Chief Executive loses a vote of confidence, they cease to be Chief Executive, and the Governor must nominate another to the Regional Council.
