The Constitutional Convention is over, people voted to approve it by 91%

The people rights will be protected

After a few weeks of arguments, agreements, and plenty of discussion, the first draft of the Pocono Socialist Republic (PSR) has been created and put out to be voted on by the PSR Population. The people have been watching this convention live with great interests, getting to hear the discussion for rights, the government structure, and ideals that the young nation should follow. Though there is no political parties, there are plenty of factions looking for their own ideas and the people who support these ideas.

The government structure will be more decentralize, with a national government only having a few powers, like the military. The majority of the power will be in the hands of the people in local worker councils, dealing with day to day operations of the government. There were disagreements however, with certain factions like the Marxist-Leninist, also known as the Neo-Socialist argued for a strong national government and centralized planning nationwide. This failed, but some of there ideas are still power that might be passed in Worker Councils and the National Assembly 

With disagreements on government structure, National rights were very straight forward, with freedom of speech, press, right to strike and organize into trade unions, a fair trail, freedom from exploitation by the state and private enterpriwe, eigjts To the people that are not written in the constitution, equal rights no matter what race, ethnicit, gender, and age. There are plenty of more rights that were added that will make sure the peoples rights will be protected.

With the people coming out in droves to vote, around 89% of the eligible voters (people over 18) they have voted for this new constitution passing the 2/3 threshold needed to be instated by getting 91% of the vote. With the young nation having a constitution, elections will start in a month to decide all the open seats, including president
