Artwork Imperial, Your Local Culture Fix (And literally the only news organization in Jangurupureri.)

The Context-o Manifesto

Now, for a couple of months (in Orbis Time), our trusting emperor, had been seen less often around in the capital streets. You may/may not be asking yourself, "Why is he not on the streets so often," and either choice you made, we here at Artwork Imperial, do not care.  You see, it isn't because of some severe crime-wave that had happened across the nation, it's because Wu has been dealing with a major dilemma.  Regarding the Sassiakomoto Cardes Imperaousli (The Sassiakomoto Constitutional Mandates of the People), it had once stated in the Mandates that, "To protect the sovereignty of the nation's peoples by showing all ethnic people's banners in all cities and official government buildings," which basically means that to recognize an ethnic individual's ethnic identity, the banners of all ethnic groups shall be the only thing hung on state buildings;  however, when citizens of St. Shangri-La had wanted something to represent their lavish lifestyles, the government didn't permit them to fly their own flag, rather be it a city anthem.  The idea of having something other than the ethnic banners represent the people has swept across the nation like wildfire. As an effect to all of this cultural revolution, Wu and the parliament has decided to attempt to pass a new bill that would allow for a far greater freedom of representation, meaning that state flags will require political homes, such as the Parliamentary Office Of Jangurupureri, to still require the ethnic banners be hung, but also have the exception of also allowing for other flags, such as city flags, to be hung onto any building.

People's Colloquy

Normally, we would do Wu's Colloquy; however due to the fact that this is quite the controversial thing, and since the emperor's really busy right now, I went out of my way to interview other people's opinions on the matter. This is what followed:

Rohavi Z. Jonal's Colloquy on the matter: "Wait---Wu's gonna do what now? I didn't even know about this until now, although... I'm very glad that we're gonna be able to really show our culture the ways we wanna."

Barais LeCaon Vei's Colloquy on the matter: "Well, culture will be culture, you simply just can't force people to hav' the same gosh-darn thing all the time, otherwise life would feel like a hollow shell rather than the canvas it is. It does make the me ponder what kinds of representation we will see in our new city flag. I hope whatever it is, it truly does represent St. Shangri-La for what it is."

Tihai Rei Kariso's Colloquy on the matter: "Honestly, I just don't quite get why Wu's worryin' over us having enough representation. Our national flag is quite literally, in itself, a representative of all of our folks. I feel perfectly alright with our good, ol' national flag; but I don't really know. I just don't get all that involved in that--that--that polititerrian sphere of influence all tha' well, iffa im gonna be honest with ya, sir."

Conclusion - Dominos

I swear this is not going to feature an ad from Domino's Pizza; however, it will feature an analogy about dominos. As the good ol' Red Scare theory goes, "One after another, all of them dominos are gonna fall over, one by one," and it's kind of true here. Because of the City Anthem Fiasco, and because of the fact that this nation is built on cultural independence and recognition, just like good ol' Barais says, "Culture will be Culture..."

Ok, Let's get on with the actual contest in mind.

In this contest, you don't particularly have any set symbols to work with as you can use any symbolism you want for the cities. Wu, (The player who plays as the nation's ruler) didn't think all that well when it came to representing the cities and how said thing was going to happen, so just go wild with it, but just don't make it anything like the dreaded mythical beast that is the Pocatello Flag.
