With the Presidential Election now only 12 weeks away, the Social Party has narrowed its cohort to 2 choices:

  1. Jago Thomas - most likely to be elected as candidate, he served in the Maerrunoria-Gwlad Emrys joint military before joining the Dyfed Assembly as the Member for Hirgrug. He managed to swing this heavily Labour seat to the Social Party with a swing of 29% and therefore seen as an electoral asset. However, we will have to resign his Assembly seat to run for President, triggering a crucial by-election.
  2. Elowen Richards - managed to get the top votes in the last round, securing 31.7% of the vote. She is seen as a newcomer and a bringer of fresh ideas to the party. She is seen as more left wing than Jago Thomas, and more likely to spend more on infrastructure projects. Many believe that this spend attitude is what's needed in the current climate.

The results of this internal election will be known in 2 weeks time.

The Labour Party has revealed their candidate for presidency. Martin Ap Daniel is widely known, especially in the midlands of Lloegr. He has vowed to take the party to the centre ground, with promises to make transport available to the private sector, while maintaining a balanced budget.

The Conservative, Greens and ARP Lite are expected to reveal their candidates in the next couple of weeks.
