The MoD has told the media that they have raided and arrested the ARP Leader Arcturus Black in his property in Dinas Emrys.
"Today at approximately 12:35, we conducted a raid on the Leader of the ARP's property in Western Dinas Emrys. The individual was in the property and was arrested without restraint shortly after.
This raid was based on intelligence from the joint Gwlad Emrys and Maerrunoria report into terrorism activities in Gwlad Emrys.
We will update the press once we have all the information"
We have not received word from the ARP official spokesperson.
The Leader of the ARP Arcturus Black served as defence minister during the 2076 coalition government and rumours are now circulation whether any activities within this role has led to his arrest.
We are also awaiting a statement from the Prime Minister and from the Maerrunorian government.
Analysis (by political correspondent John Warsall)
This is a big announcment. The ARP is the country's 2nd largest party and if the leader has been found for wrongdoing, it could seriously damage the ARP forever.
However this also has a huge risk for the Government. The lack of any statement is backfiring as it only raises suspicion that the Government is "framing" the ARP - possibly to ensure reelection.
That is why it would be unwise to comment further until we have more facts.
