With the rapid growth of the United Imperium, the approval of the Government has risen rapidly, with the President having a whopping 74% approval rating, and Congress an 80% approval rating. However, that rapid growth just may be the downfall of the President and Congress. As we know, a significant majority of the Imperium's growth has been dependent on oil and oil reserves, rather than coal, which the United Imperium is actually capable of mining here on the South Shore of Lake Michigan. Since the United Imperium cannot mine oil, it is forced to import oil from foreign nations, which means that with all the volatility in oil prices, it is very difficult to keep the nation powered for cheap. Without any clear plan for a contingency in the event of a break with our partners abroad, the government has put itself in a very precarious position.
