New Guinea overtaken, Haikou nuked

And you aren't getting your colony back anytime soon!

Dreamistan's New Guinea colony has been used to enslave thousands of innocent Lunar and Rimskayan civilians; our first operation in the colony, also known as the First Battle of New Guinea, was a massive success for our side, but the colony still stands strong, and the Dreamistani government intends to further enslave our people.

Not for much longer.

While the city of Arcadia was hit with multiple nuclear weapons, the number of nuclear threats compelled the government to issue a past evacuation notice, and most citizens were already safe in bunkers before the city was attacked. However, the Battle of Ariadne was, unfortunately, a massive success for Dreamistan and RoDevs, who captured many Lunar citizens, presumably to enslave on the New Guinea colony...

Which brings us to where we are now: the Second Battle of New Guinea.

The defenses established after the successful rescue operation included mines, "sharpened bamboo stick pits covered with sand and pools of toxic liquid" on the beaches and guns at major ports to destroy incoming ships. The intent was to complete these defenses by the end of June, so we have decided to reclaim New Guinea before the strongest parts of these defense systems are established, such as the forts and rocket launchers which are yet to be built. As of now, however, a major weakness of the defense system is its vulnerability to Luna's air force...

Lunar stealth bombers targeted the ground defenses; the mines were set off, destroying a large portion of the coastline. The anti-ship guns were also targeted by bombings; some mines were also placed too close to ports, destroying them when they exploded, which left New Guinea open for an attack from the sea.

A fleet of amphibious assault ships, submarines, destroyers and frigates approached the coast after the bombing had commenced, allowing a large number of Lunar troops to enter New Guinea and fight off the remnants of the Dreamistani forces there. With the number of casualties in the initial bombing, Lunar troops were easily able to overpower the vulnerable and weak enemy forces, pushing Dreamistan out of the island. Some fled, utilizing ships and aircraft, though many aircraft were shot down.

While much of the coast was ravaged by the mines, making most ports unusable, Lunar troops are working on rebuilding these, along with completing forts; Dreamistani soldiers in the area have been offered the choice of returning to Luna as prisoners or remaining on the island to help rebuild and create new defense systems under Lunar supervision. However, unlike Dreamistan's former systems, captured soldiers will be treated fairly and with human rights, including safe shelter, good food, clean water and overall good conditions despite their status as enemy soldiers.

The government has decided to make New Guinea a Lunar colony with a somewhat self-governing system (more details to come) after the end of the war; for now, a council made up of Lunar military representatives, a few surviving Rimskayan civilians and even a few former Dreamistani soldiers has become a local government of sorts to decide matters in the colony.

---------------------------

While we were hoping to avoid the further use of nuclear weapons, as we noted the catastrophic effects they had on Peoples City and originally looked to avoid civilian casualties, it is now clear, due to the THREE nuclear attacks on Arcadia by Dreamistan, that our enemies seemingly have no intent to protect the lives of the people, and we cannot let these actions pass.

Therefore, Luna has, again, nuked Dreamistan, this time in the city of Haikou. Casualties are estimated to be around 200,000, due to the city's high population, and we hope that this will be the last nuclear weapon we will have to fire in order to bring this war to an end.

We are very pleased to see Rimskaya's recent military success and hope that, especially after that entire confusion with Hunton, Lunoria and at least 80% of Orbis, our victories will continue until the end of the war.

Oh, yeah- I forgot to mention-

We accepted Hunton's white peace with a condition that there will be no attacks on Luna or Rimskaya in the future. Sorry, Lunoria...

If only there were an anti-Dreamistani war song...

Anti-Dreamistani War song, eh?

I'm not good at singing or editing, but I can certainly come up with lyrics.

I mean- nobody actually sang the Anti-Lunorian war song, and I can edit... somewhat? I mean, I did make that random somewhat relevant video thing a few days ago... but that was just random instrumental music I made because I was procrastinating.

Umm You do realize Hunton is an ally to RoDevs like a major one

My citizens will from this point onward refer to you as New Italy

Thanks, Dauchh Palki. And, yes, I do realize that, Lunoria, but as long as they don't attack us in the future, I'm all good. Unfortunately, RoDevs is working with Dreamistan; I was hoping to avoid attacking them since we've had positive relations before (actually, during the FIRST Caribbean war), but if they're going to support the main enemy, I don't think there's much else I can do about that.

Thanks, but isn't practically everything we all write weighted in the author's favor? Just saying- all the battle bulletins are absolutely biased towards the nation that wrote them...
