The nuking of Peoples City

In response to Dreamistan's murder of thousands of innocent Rimskayan civilians, Luna's military will be following through with our threats to bomb and invade the Dreamistani mainland.

Initially, the plan was to avoid using nuclear weapons due to the catastrophic impact they can have, but now, especially after the civilians enslaved and killed by Dreamistan, we have revoked our terms of avoiding nuclear warfare.

On the night of May 9, 2082, a nuclear weapon hit Peoples City, the Dreamistani capital, killing approximately 155,000 people (in the next 24 hours); survivors of the attack will face the effects of radiation poisoning as time progresses, and total casualties are approximated to reach around 185,000 due to this.

Meanwhile, coastal cities were bombed with the full force of Luna's navy, causing massive damage to the Dreamistani coastline and destroying a large portion of the nation's naval forces.

Additionally, this isn't particularly related to the war, but due to over-fishing around the Lunar coast, Luna has decided to attempt taking ships to the waters around Norway's southern coast in an attempt to alleviate a national food crisis caused by a past blockade limiting food imports. Some armed ships may be sent alongside these for the simple reason of protection; Luna has no intent to attack any nation unless our peaceful endeavors are interrupted by hostility, and we will avoid the waters of any sovereign nation in our efforts to alleviate this national crisis.

Also, can I just say... don't trust most things in Luna's factbook, because my Nation Information bulletin is far more reliable and that's what I typically update for history and things like that, but if there's one thing that definitely is true in there, it's this:

No, it's not "Lunan," it has never been "Lunan," and it never will be "Lunan." 

The name of my nation was based on my favorite book series, in which the moon is known as Luna (for obvious reasons) because it's set in a futuristic world where other moons have been colonized along with the moon, so it wouldn't make sense to just call it the Moon in the book (plus, I just like the moon, and night, which, if you know about Greek mythology, explains my leader name as well) -- which is why it's "Lunar," not "Lunan." I honestly don't know where that one came from...
