Alteria cements itself as a leading power in Orbis

A breaking new statement has come from the Queen - Oma Desala of Alteria

After much strife and much internal scrutiny, I, Your Queen, can say with certainty that we have now solidified our place as a leading power in Orbis. Over the last few years we have had to, after landing on this planet, release our military forces with all might, attacking those that would stand before us or those with ideals that do not match our own progressive way of thinking. 

I can say with full confidence that the threats have now been eliminated and even though this has not been without some loss on our side, it has been far worse for our enemy's. 

The military operations that we have been conducting across the world have been for the above but also to solidify our income, resources and wealth as on this world, the current 2 species occupying the land, Humans and Furries, use a monetary system whereas the more wealth a nation has the more influence it can exert on others. I know this policy may sound out-dated and distasteful to us but we must remember that we are hundreds of thousands of years ahead in our development as a species, we moved past the need for monetary wealth a long time ago.

Our supplies and wealth has now been shored up and we have joined our fellow brothers in the Immortals Alliance to help bring about stability to this planet, as it is very much needed. 

Today, it was with some sadness I do announce that we have been struck by a primitive weapon called a 'nuclear bomb' from an obnoxious pirate alliance called Arrgh. I can say that no damage was caused, the pirates decided to attack the city we landed on the planet in, Atlantis.. Its shields held when the bomb was detonated, however the area outside of the shields in the ocean will now be radioactive and precautions have been put in place to prevent any un-necessary deaths of civilians, we are fortunate that they attacked Atlantis, without realising the city itself was a spaceship with shield technology. We will now endevour to place shield technology over all cities in Alteria  

I will end my speech to give praise to all the men, women, humans and furries that have dedicated their lives to making sure our nation advances and is secure, your memory shall not be tarnished, we will continue to strive forward and achieve all the goals we set out to achieve when returning to this planet. Your deaths shall not be in vain.

You will all find at your houses a piece of mail that contains the new standard government income for all people of Alteria of $10,000 Alters per month. Everyone that lives in the country shall receive this stipend, whatever their situation. This is to ensure in this primitive world where money seems to be 'Queen', pardon the pun, that all my citizens never go hungry and always have a roof above their heads and protection at their door.
