A representative from the 28th is facing a criminal investigation after internal investigations reveal more serious accusations. This is following Friday’s close on the 3rd internal hearing. The state rep. was under an internal investigation for their role when a budgeting error mysteriously lead to a surplus of money. This causes issues because this surplus was not redistributed back into the state following the close of the 2022 fiscal year this month. If the money is not sent back out into the state following the ”Surplus Act” of 2016, the surplus may be distributed to the state workers in a once time per 4-year term rule. The investigation was triggered due to the accused intentional delay of surplus distribution due to a “budgeting error”. The treasury was not notified within 48 hours of discovery of the error. This 48 time window is a hard deadline and a whistleblower said there was no error and that is the reason the treasury was not notified. This lead to an internal investigation the lead to the conclusion that the budgeting error was a front to allow for the delay so the surplus could be distributed to the state worker for this term. During a time of over inflation this surplus is estimated to be an all time high at an estimated $1.4 Million. This accusation puts the accused state rep. at the forefront as the spearhead of this plan. More investigations are to follow for all members involved following the 2 week criminal investigation of the state rep. All costs of this investigation are being funded by the state surplus until it reaches the US Supreme Court.
