First Anniversary of the Imperial Djonian Republic
Today we celebrated the first year of our existence! The festivities were incredible, shows/displays memorable, and speeches inspirational; and we're going to look back on all of it now.
Today is a glorious day for all in the Empire! A full year of our existence has passed. People took to the streets to celebrate before the official parade and festivities even began; students, workers, federalized employees, soldiers, everyone was on the streets since today was declared a holiday by his majesty!
A fireworks show was on display on the top tier of the city
A military parade has been in preparation for weeks for the first anniversary celebration. Soldiers in never before seen uniforms have been parading through closed off ramps of the tiered city to practice their route from the bottom tier all the way to the palace at the top. The closures didn't seem to bother many people, though, as the excitement and patriotic pride within most was building up in anticipation for the festivities.

What a parade it was! Just over 100,000 soldiers marched through the streets of the tiered city to a jubilant crowd of over a million onlookers. The signature green and white of the Empire could be seen everywhere: flags, confetti, streamers, lightshows, uniforms, fireworks, even some of our famed military vehicles had been given a fresh coat of paint to celebrate!

Fighter Squadron 35 (the infamous Night Banshees) had been repainted for an aerial show above the palace
His Majesty Emperor Jones I made a speech before a crowd of onlookers and the precession of soldiers in the parade at the Imperial Palace. "Today marks the beginning of a new era for not just us, but the world." He continued as saying, "We are one of hundreds of other nations who tried to take their place in this world, but we succeeded where most failed, we survived! We've lasted a year long, and will continue to last for years to come!" He continued his speech to the cheering audience for several minutes before returning to the festivities of the palace grounds.
