(Part 3)
The fog rolled in and covered the ground like a blanket as [REDACTED] made his way through the woods. The flashlight he held flickered and the gentle static coming through the radio continued its quiet sound. The sky was pitch-black, from what he could see through the canopy of leaves above him.
A twig cracked in the distance and he whirled around to try and see what was going on, but nobody was there.
The static continued for a moment before the voice he had heard approximately two hours ago continued his breathless speech.
"I think I scared it away for now, but it's still out there," said the voice, a voice [REDACTED] knew very well. A voice belonging to someone he hadn't seen in years.
Someone he thought — no, knew — was dead.
The flashlight finally gave out, leaving him in the darkness. But he knew that if it was who he thought it was, he had to find him.
And he knew for a fact who it was.
He pressed the button on his radio for the hundredth time to send a message to the person in the woods. "I'm coming. Tell me where you are and I'll help you get out of there. For now, hide and stay safe."
He sent the message and waited for a response, but, as always, there was nothing.
That is, for around five minutes.
Then the voice came back, but it sounded wrong, panicked and somehow... different.
"I am in the (inaudible). But don't come here. It's back. Run," they said before the radio went dead silent.

Identification: Flynn Radcliffe, Lunar Intelligence Agency Special Ops Agent
Status: UNKNOWN. Reported missing on 25 August 2080.

Time/Date: approximately 0300 hours // 23 August 2080
Other notes: Radcliffe was reported to be formulating some sort of plan regarding the woods and his brother, who was reported dead during the War of Liberation. He claimed to have heard his voice over an unspecified radio frequency, calling for help and saying that he was in the Stygian Wildwood. He was assisted by members of his squadron in entering the woods, but all communications went down soon after one cryptic message was recieved from him.
The message is transcribed as follows.
"Something's here. It's coming. We need- (audio cuts)."

I highly doubt that, I think it's far more dangerous than Devlin Chungus things...
I really want to send an ElconJI unit into the forest, mind if I do that?
Hmm, I'll think about it.
I have 10 ElconJI units, 3 are in chaos insurgency finding out what's going on, and the other seven are training for threats not normally human. All of these units have served in the first and second Japanese civil war, so I wasn't sure if they have watched horror movies. (Making them train so much then just requiring them to watch 3 horror movies before lights out)
If you want to handle this domestically I'm cool, I think your current story line is very good.
I'm probably going to handle it domestically for now, but maybe some other time.
