Alakiosantanpania | Culture

Today we visit an infamous nation on the Indian subcontinent, Alakiosantanpania, known worldwide for their lush rainforests, Galdhøpiggen peak, and more recently, spiraling conflicts waged on far-away nations.

CHRISTIANITY

Alakiosantanpania is a majority-catholic nation with around 52 percent of the population identifying as such, the next largest religion being Hinduism with 40 percent of the population identifying as so. Despite today being barely above the halfway mark, Christianity has been influential in the nation's politics and government since the nation's inception. Alakiosantanpanian sources claim, "As secular and atheist governments rose up around them, Alakiosantanpania became a haven of religiousness." In the nation's earlier times the nation became a haven for the religious, and indirectly as the result of the collapse of the Indian nation. Texts also show that in this time period Europeans played a large role in spreading Christianity as a religion throughout Alakiosantanpania. The government even began to promote Catholicism. Catholicism has become a widely accepted de-facto state religion (although unrecognized as such) in Alakiosantanpania, and is widely accepted throughout most of the country.

D-DAY

Whilst not celebrating Operation-Overlord on June 6th,1944, the sense of inspiration for the day is in part inspired by the name, Democracy Day is an Alakiosantanpanian national holiday incorporated fully in 2072. The holiday largely originated from parades and festivals celebrating the fall of tyrannical dictatorships. With Orbis being war torn in the 2050's, uprisings lead to the rise of many tyrannical but short-lasting regimes. According to Alakiosantanpanians, Democracy Day celebrated Alakiosantanpania as a beacon of light and hope and what good may be ahead. The holiday was first celebrated in the early 2060's and expanded until it was recognized as a national holiday in 2072.

Each community of each city is assigned a flag, which will be used for the main event of Democracy Day celebrations, flag burning. Communities build large bon-fires equipped with fireworks, the flags are then hung between buildings over the bon-fire to burn throughout the night. Once the flame burns the edges of the flag, the fireworks are lit and obliterate the flag, the burning continues until the flag is virtually recognizable, the fire department then comes to put out the roaring flames. The flags used are of nations thought to be tyrannical or dictatorships by Alakiosantanpanians.

Hi. I'm Sebastian from Generic Corporation. We at Generic Corporation sell cars, technology, and food. First, let's start with cars. Please buy our fast, polluting metal box on wheels that's so expensive that you'll be in debt! In fact, buy our cars to make sure the next generations are also car-dependent! Yay! Next, let's move to technology. We recently moved our technology production to a labor camp in Asia! This makes prices cheaper, and makes the hardware less safe! Since these factories don't produce quality goods, expect your phone to do (but not limited to) the following; Melt, turn into a nuclear weapon, turn into a bonfire, and become a weak point where hackers (and governments) can listen to your calls. Also, the slaves- I mean workers, do not have the mental capacity to make different models, so our phones are just gonna be the same. We definitely didn't purposely hire the worst designers on the planet. Anyways, let's move to food. We buy our ingredients from Monsanto, which is a random farming company that definitely doesn't modify their food and forces farmers to throw away their seeds. Because they're such jackasses, that they're copyrighting basic food! Who the hell has the time to copyright fruits and vegetables? Anyway this is Generic Corporation! Have a crappy day!

I have everything against car dependency, labor camps, and companies that genetically modify food to make it last longer, and then copyright a freaking fruit. Thanks for reading and see you next week.

Economy Report with Sultan Derent

 

It's time for Sultan Derent, of the Parsedean Empire, to show its wings once more! And you know what those wings are made of?

SWEET SWEET CASHHHH🤑🤑🤑!!! If you've been living under a rock this entire time, we'll go from least exciting, to most exciting!

Order up, some gasoline! With a steady price of $2800 once again!

Then we have munitions! Dropping $100 to $1700!
 

Coal has a $100 decrease to $2500!

Oil has a crazy decrease of $400 to $2100!!

Uranium is at $3000, it's a golden price!

Next up we have iron! Its price has also dropped $200 to $2200

And to conclude this week's eye drooping section, food is at a calm $180

Can we please move on, this is getting boring

*Snore*

Lead, has risen by $200 back to $3500

Steel additionally hasn't changed much at $3750

Bauxite, at this week's update, is currently at $4500 <--- ridiculously high price

And to conclude this economy report, aluminum sits at $3550

Folks, I think it's safe to say aluminum has reached some sort of plateau. After a monstrous increase and a damaging decrease, aluminum isn't being extremely profitable as it was before. Steel, however, is looking pretty good! Although operating expenses might be higher for steel, it's very useful and is forecasted to become even more profitable in the future. Sports Section with Zefronc
 

Wassup everyone. Last week we talked about the OIFA Cup 2080, and we will once again. It has progressed pretty far since we last talked about it. 

Matches of groups G, H, and B 

Group G:  The first match started out with Yarda and Norte España going face to face. Both teams played competitively, but towards the end of the match Yarda scored a goal, ending the match with a score of 1-0. Up next was Luna vs Parsedean Empire, which was also a very competitive game. So competitive, that neither team scored a goal ending the match in a tie.
 

Group H: Pokeland and Mujahidistan were the first to play in Group H. Both teams put up a fierce fight, but Pokeland eventually was the first to make a goal within 23 minutes. About 62 minutes later, Mujahidistan scored a goal, ending the game in a tie with the score being 1-1. Then Western Magreb and the United Imperium played. In the first half, Western Magreb scored a goal, with United Imperium scoring to catch up shortly after. In the second half, both teams scored, ending the match in another tie, with the score being 2-2. 
 

Group A: Our friends Sam Bodian Republic and Bancouer played once again, and boy was it a really interesting match. During the first half The Bancouer Republic scored a goal, and so did The Sam Bodian Republic. However in the second half The Bancouer Republic completely outplayed The Sam Bodian Republic and scored 2 goals. The Sam Bodian Republic could not recover from this. The match ended with the scores being 3-1. The final match of Group A was Snak Land vs Sapporo Imperium. Snak Land was doing pretty good during the first half, but during the last few minutes Sapporo Imperium scored a goal. In the second half, Snak Land scored again, but just like the first half Sapporo Imperium scored a goal at the last minute, making the game a tie at 2-2. 

Group B: The final group to play was Group B. The first match was between Corciga and Larwan, which Corciga kept control of the game by scoring a goal, but then Larwan scored a goal as well 86 minutes into the match which tied the match. The scores were 1-1. The final match was Dauchh Palki vs Ganymede. There weren't any goals until the game hit 76 minutes, which Ganymede scored. This ended the match with the scores being 1-0.

6. The Constitution of the Republic of Winners has a provision that allows its people to rebel against the government if they believe it has become authoritarian. Talk about political freedom! On a serious note, there hasn't been any requirement to invoke this provision till now.

Global News Update (RP) with Nyx

In the aftermath of a global war (named "Skill Issues") sparked due to attacks on North American Defense Pact members, the Treaty of Calarie has been signed in order to prevent similar wars in the future.

The treaty was negotiated by members of all blocs involved in the war, though some nations chose not to comment, and signed by several as well.

The treaty states that all three blocs involved — the NADP, AFC and PCDP — will disband, and that the United Nations of Orbis will be created to maintain peaceful standings

Many leaders agree with the terms of the treaty and hope for a peaceful future in Orbis.

Global News Update (AA) with Velmir Sandelvinsky

Many people across Orbis have gotten angry about the rise of food prices due to another drastic increase of radiation. Radiation is a sign of yet another, inter-alliance war, easily observed from the telltale signs of mass-declaration of wars, rise of nuclear weapon detonations, and extremely high food prices. As of now, AA Global does not have a verified name for this war, but we do know that it is between the Rose and HoF Alliances. Food prices are known to rise up very quickly at the beginning of a war and take a very long time to trickle down. Unfortunately, that remains true for this war, as well. One can only hope that the situation finds a way to resolve itself. Thanks for reading!
