Alarms Sounded Over Ancient Threat Returning.

Disappearances have been going up across Rimskaya over the past couple of days. The events all maintain one particular correlation: Those missing were all reported to have disappeared after telling someone they were going to check the mail. Reports suggest this does not include Email or Packages, and has only seemed to affect those checking letters from an exterior source not within 5 meters of the house or structure.

Rimskaya Police was originally baffled by the incidents, with authorities nationwide clueless as to what was going on. Surveillance camera footage later surfaced on the internet, all with the same basic event: The individual walks up to the mailbox, and opens it, before either dropping dead, or running before being caught, always followed by the culprit, who or what ever it is, taking their body, living or dead, away to an unknown fate.

Only one person has reportedly survived an encounter, and is currently being treated for PTSD and signs of attempted eviscerations. Interviews by the police led to this being our best depiction of his attacker:

The National Government has officially declared a state of emergency, announcing that all mail is from now on to be left outside the door, and mailboxes be equipped with motion-sensors. We are waiting on approval for attaching self-destruct sequences for triggered sensors being authorized. Democraticus would like to ask if any other countries have been having similar incidents, and if so, suggest a coalition or diplomatic council to address the potential threat.
