Today it was announnced the first meeting of the World Heritage Convention Committee was held.
The chairperson for the meeting was High Lord RoManic of The Holy Kingdom of Vulcanities.
In attendence was King Surfer Captain Good Vibes of ANZAC with observers from Communist Britian, Chittagong state, Dauchh Palki and La Punta de Antartica. Invitations were sent to many other nations and seats are still open for the next meeting.
The opening meeting was started with seeking indications from those nations willing to ratify the World Hertiage Convention. An early stumbling block was the budget for the World Heritage Fund and how it would be funded and administered if such a fund was created.
Only The Oceanic Domain of Anzac under the leadership of King Surfer Captain Good Vibes and the High Lord RoManic of The Holy Kingdom of Vulcanities ratifed the early draft convention.
The Chairperson of the Committee is currently establishing the UNO server and has stated that he seeks to include a discord link for UNESCO and the World Heritage Site List.
So far the list includes the Wet Tropics of Oceanic Domain of ANZAC with two tentative lists being drawn up by observer nations Chittagong state and Dauchh Palki upon ratification by those nations. Other nations can feel free to nominate sites
The World Heritage Committee
The World Heritage Committee meets once a year, and consists of representatives of the States Parties to the Convention . At its first session, the Committee adopted its Rules of Procedure of the World Heritage Committee.
The Committee is responsible for the implementation of the World Heritage Convention, defines the use of the World Heritage Fund and allocates financial assistance upon requests from States Parties. It has the final say on whether a property is inscribed on the World Heritage List. It examines reports on the state of conservation of inscribed properties and asks States Parties to take action when properties are not being properly managed. It also decides on the inscription or deletion of properties on the List of World Heritage in Danger.
Funding
The conservation and protection of World Heritage sites wouldn’t be possible without the financial resources to meet World Heritage needs. Sources of income include the World Heritage Fund, which receives most of its income from compulsory contributions from countries (States Parties) and from voluntary contributions.
The World Heritage Committee allocates funds according to the urgency of requests, priority being given to the most threatened sites.

Well a few things. We may not be able to do the whole infrastructure reclamation thing. However, we could list critical infrastructure and in danger sites. These could be recognized as critical but we have no protection over it. The only thing we could do is make people aware that a site is in critical condition. People can mainly view the site as a grand symbol of culture and world peace. We could also tell them that if their sites city is in critical condition they can post something asking for donations. However, I want this to stay largely non-profit and don't want to get involved in the money side of things to much. However, we may have people pay a subscription or something to contribute to an anti war fund of some sort. That part is still up in the air.
In terms of a committee I would be glad if you could nominate members however, I only ask that they are involved in the RP community.

lol I nominate you as chairperson of the World Heritage Convention Committee...I can sit on the Committee as a member, we dont want to shift too much to the discord server, my original purpose was for people to do a positive bulletin about some great attraction of their nation, carrying it further, if people agreed it was a good attraction we could agree to protect it if ever it was in danger in war.
I would rather see bulletins about people building crazy skyscrapers in their cities for heritage listing than the same old boring ones about revolutions and diseases. Or whatever they may think is an attraction. Or wars in cities fighting to defend cultural sites
If a nation nominates a city where their World Heritage Site exists and that citys infrastructure is damaged in war, under the voluntary World Heritage Fund, volunatary contributions to help rebuild could be made by stronger richer nations that ratify the convention. Do you want me to make a bulletin about you being made Chairperson of the World Heritage Convention Committee with myself as a member and maybe nominate some other members?

Could I nominate the Kyoto temples as World Heritage sites? other than that I don't have much else to say
The Kyoto temples are fine additions to the 'Tentative List'. to be included for World Heritage Listing you must ratify the convention as a State Party and agree to manage and protect your site on behalf of the peoples of the world.
We will send 5 Million Dauchoins in contribution to fund the World Heritage Committee.
Considering the creation of the U.N.O I think it would be cool if the WHC were apart of U.N.O (United Nations of Orbis)
your volunatary contribution to the World Heritage Fund is noted. The Secretariat recognises Dauchh Palki and its World Heritage Sites and your management of those sites on behalf of world people. your contribution will go towards assisting those nations whose sites for listing may be in danger and require assistance
you can be granted Observer status, you may be a member of the Committee if you ratify the World Heritage Convention, there are still vacancies. Does your nation have any sites or landmarks of world importance or signifigance that would meet the criteria for World Heritage Listing. According to guidelines the Committee meets once a year whilst the Bureau of the Committee sets the agenda for business and organsises the day to day runing of the Orbis World Heritage List as well as responsibility of the World Heritage Fund. You can submit a Tentative List of sites in bulletin form or direct message. You may wish to seek a role as Vice Chairperson on the Committee or on the Bureau
