Welcome to The Lunar Post, Issue Three! Today, we will be discussing the spread of the Niohama virus across Orbis and an update from the President on Luna's rebuilding efforts.

Panic rises as Niohama spreads throughout the world

The virus, which has caused tons of deaths across the globe, is being dealt with successfully in Luna.

Originating in the Sam Bodian Republic, the Niohama virus has caused panic throughout parts of the world.

Thankfully, Luna has only observed two cases, and those have been within one city, so controlling the spread has been easy. However, Lunar scientists have warned that violations of quarantine policies put into place by President Aquilla and the Lunar Healthcare Department could lead to disastrous consequences, as the virus has been found to quickly mutate when unleased on a population.

Zora Meissner, a world-renowned researcher for the Healthcare Dept., stated in a public press release that it is best to be as cautious as possible.

"We are living in a time of uncertainty," Meissner wrote. "And in these times, we must be careful. Any symptoms should be immediately reported. Any potential mutations need to be stopped. As of now, both of the detected patients in Calypso are stable and on the path to recovery, but this disease is unpredictable. We must be ready for anything."

Vice President Ari Valoris, who was planning to organize a summit of world leaders to discuss Orbis-wide issues, such as radiation, furry rights, and more, has also postponed their proposed dates for the conference, and the city of Calypso has been placed in a full lockdown, with masks being mandated. There has not been much pushback from citizens regarding this, and the government hopes that this concern for the lives of Lunar citizens continues while the nation deals with the disease.

Additionally, due to the fact that Luna hasn't been hit as hard by the virus as other nations have, we are working on the creation and development of a vaccine against Niohama, which Meissner and other scientists hope to have ready shortly. The intent is to distribute the completed vaccine to affected nations, including Dauchh Palki, United Anarchist Nations and anyone else who may need it.

Luna actually is successful with rebuilding?

"What?" asks a confused citizen. "We haven't been this strong in ages!"

As readers may know, Luna isn't very great at quick rebuilding.

After being hit with several nuclear weapons and losing an immense amount of infrastructure, the nation faced issues such as getting close to an economic crisis, pollution, political instability stemming from unhappiness of citizens due to the radiation and damage and more.

However, the Post is very pleased to announce that rebuilding efforts are commencing faster than ever before! Through carefully planned raids that generate tons of resources, Luna has been able to get each and every one of its ten cities back up to over 1400 infrastructure!

"I'm glad it's all liveable again," said one excited citizen. "I'm so happy to move back into a radiation-free Arcadia and see that everything's almost fixed up!"

Well, we're working on a vaccine against Niohama, so if you need it, we'll let you know when we have it ready.

I didn't appreciate the attack, but in the grand scheme of things, it's a minor setback. I've already fixed up 90% of the damage, and besides, it was really the nukes from earlier that messed stuff up, not this.
