MONPIER - Thelvolan National Broadcasting Network (TNBN), the state's government-owned broadcasting network, receives Kr 3 billion in funding under the General Appropriations Act (GAA) signed by President Archangelvanny, its highest since 2000.

In an interview, Director General of TNBN, Arthur Rosswell, says, "This budget will kickstart the modernization of the government's news agency, ensuring quality information and quality service to every Thelvolan. This will also help TNBN to expand its services, especially as we plan to improve our mainstream services".

Meanwhile, President Archangelvanny stated in his speech during his recent visit to TNBN's newly constructed studio in Lismare that he hopes that with its budget, TNBN will improve and modernize its ways of serving every Thelvolan and will help Thelvola advertise itself to the world, as TNBN has the duty to help Thelvola improve its international look.

This steep budget increase for TNBN was extremely opposed, primarily by Representative Hughes Quill. Rep. Quill argued that President Archangelvanny plans to use TNBN as its propaganda arm, which will groom his personality to boost his support for reelection. Rep. Quill also insisted that the KR 2.5 billion increase would have been more useful if it had been allocated instead to the Ministry of Health, which is currently fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.

TNBN was established by then President Vitaly Brackovich in 2000. It can be remembered that TNBN was very active during the term of President Brackovich due to the fact that TNBN serves as the propaganda wing of the government. TNBN's funding has decreased massively since the regime of the Brackoviches, until now.
