A standoff began today on the Sunshine Skyway Bridge at the entrance to the Bay of Marx between the police on both ends of the bridge, and protestors occupying the center. Those in the protest were in support of several demands:

-A stop of the Drive to War against the Chaos Insurgency that has been occurring in the economy and military.

-Cancellation of the plans to bomb Milania further and continue containment in the event a cure is found so any survivors can be rescued.

-The Rimskaya Government should retake a stance for peace and encourage the allies of Rimskaya to do the same rather than fan the flames of conflict.

-Demilitarize the country to make room for resource production (even though this is unlikely)

The standoff is currently ongoing, as the protesters refuse to unblock the bridge, some threatening to jump of the bridge into the water below, a drop of about 180 feet (55 meters) that is almost guaranteed to be fatal. The State Coast Guard is on stand-by in case this does occur. The military is also ready to be deployed should the protesters attempt a breakthrough on the northern end in the event they start moving towards Milania, a city currently cut off from the outside world and surrounded by military personnel.
