Rimskaya's Early Times and Years long Silence

Rimskaya initially started by isolating from the world stage. We believed that our communist state wouldn't be accepted much. We didn't do much in terms of alliances, and often attacked any nation we could find. We didn't have much knowledge of the economy and resources of Orbis and were shadowed by the giant powers. As a result, Rimskaya got off to a rough start. As one would expect, we soon came under the massive raiding faced by poor countries incapable of rising for their own reasons. Despite our attempts at diplomacy, we could never work our way out of the relentless and blind greed of the raiders. Eventually, Rimskaya succumbed to the same fact as most countries in these circumstances: We gave up.

Rimskaya became dormant, refusing to reawaken as the country slowly fell to bits. The people tried to remain resilient, refusing to disband or let the country die. The dream of the workers' society persevered through the decades, as the people, hiding in the ruins of Rimskaya's olden cities studied the ways of Leon Trotsky. After comparing his ideas to that of other communists and socialists, the people decided to give Rimskaya another chance at life.

People from the cities of Rimskaya made a journey to the capital, where Democraticus had been hiding out with the government, waiting for exactly what the people were about to call for. Democraticus awoke on the morning of International Workers' Day, May 1st, 2075, to the sound of the masses, gathered outside the capital, all agreeing on one thing: Now was the day to arise from the ashes. Democraticus presented himself before the people, looking just as new as he did during the Winter Solstice.

"My people... for decades we have waited in the dark. War and hardship tried to tear us down. But we prevailed. We hid out in the ruins of our state waiting for the day that has now dawned with only one cause: YOU. The people have united and are now here to raise the Motherland from her grave. And this time, we won't let her fall again. Rimskaya will rise from the depths of history and shine as the beacon of light she was destined to be! We will restore Democracy to the world and bring the battalions of the Working Class and Socialism back to the world of Orbis! We will face danger. We will face adversaries. We will face opposition unlike any seen by man in history. Nothing can crush us forever! You, the people, have proven that! Welcome, fellow Rimskayans, to the new N.R.I.! Forwards comrades- TO THE FUTURE!"

From there, Rimskaya continued to build. After joining Castle Camelot, we soon found that the rising cost of living and inequality of Orbis was exactly in need of treatment by the minds of Rimskaya. We made allies, we made enemies, and we made something we never dreamed of: A movement dedicated to all humanity.

And so, we had come back, but as Democraticus stated, we faced adversary. Within some years, we found enemies in the form ofvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is a message from the N.R.I. National Government. We apologize for this interruption. At this time, Rimskayan troops are sailing to the Chaos Insurgency to participate in military drills in preparation for the potential upcoming war. We would like to restress the recent message regarding the nuclear shelter and be ready at moment's notice to enter. Rimskaya maintains no nuclear arsenal of her own, only missiles, so a nuclear war would mean death for anyone unprepared. Thank you for your attention. We will now revert back to normal programming.
