I just wanted to release my hot take on civil wars in Orbis bulletins right now. Also, the bulletin I posted about a Dauchh Palkian civil war is obviously fake. Its called "Realism News"

First of all, I feel like the amount of civil wars popping up in bulletins as of right now, while stupid, is not unusual. Civil wars are basically like the number one or number two topic you'll see in bulletins every day. The bulletin I posted before my Business article was literally a civil war bulletin.

Civil wars in bulletins right now have a lack of build up, and usually end within weeks or even months (orbis time) or a day or a few in real life. Civil wars in bulletin rp have little build up and explanation as to why such civil war began. You'll see countries making posts about huge economic growth just to be destroyed by a communist civil war the next day. At most, you might get 1 bulletin beforehand, talking about protests.

Take about my rp related to Civil Wars as an example.

You can do anything you like, but generally if you don't want your civil war rp to be stale and make no sense, you should have background.

When South Delare split from Dauchh Palki there were multiple bulletins about the political situation beforehand, protests, protests turned to rioting. Its more than that though, its about the political background, in my country the two states were already culturally and economically divided heavily despite being unified as a nation. Furthermore, there was a large culture around the South Delarean civil war, which happened many decades prior, which fueled tensions further.

I don't think it is a problem that civil wars are a bit common for bulletins, but I think rp bulletins for civil wars have become stale and unoriginal. They dont have much background grounded in the nation's history, and they dont play out for very long, even if a war could just end in a month, which honestly isn't too bad of an issue and can sometimes make perfect sense, the effects on the nations future are not seen. A nation will have a civil war, then pretend as if it never happened. Dedication to the war, those fallen, not much.

LENGTH

When it comes to lengths of civil wars in bulletin rp, they are always pretty quick. maybe literally one bulletin about the nation, and boom, an ideology shift by a million miles. Civil wars should, at the very least, give a reason to end so quickly, like:
"The unpopular president abdicated the office." or "The population had been bombed by tank copters and anime waifus so much they gave in to the extremists." These are fair reasons. Sure you can make the excuse the nation was quickly military defeated, but you would expect uprisings, rebellions from counter-revolutionaries in the aftermath of the victory. You need to give a reason as to why such would not happen.

I dont want this bulletin to feel like, "I decided all good taste of bulletins and stuff" I want to in-offensively say, this type of rp is stale.

I also understand if you dont want to spend an hour each day on making the best rp ever.

I support your take.

Personally, I made two civil wars. While the first had no backstory and was literally based on nothing, the other was actually having some backing.

Civil war bulletins, you will notice are made to milk off a situation. When the commies are getting attacked, MAKE CIVIL WARS WHERE THE EVIL COMMIES LOSE, like wtf

Civil wars happen because there are new people who want to get quick fame in the community. Like every civil war is kinda predictable. commies rise and fall, democracy withstands all the sh*t it faces and the evil commies lose.

in the end, we have no way to fix this if we realise that most roleplay participators don't have a thing called foreign relations. Civil wars will continue to happen because of this anarchist attitude towards roleplay. Roleplay is considered to be a joke, and in all honesty, is. Like which jerk would attack a nation for some imaginary disagreements? YES, PNW ROLEPLAY PARTICIPATORS. WHO WOULD NUKE OTHERS FOR IMAGINARY DISAGREEMENTS? YES, PNW ROLEPLAY PARTICIPATORS.

The only bulletin post relating to anything about a civil war, was a post on a coup in the capital of my nation. But thanks for your post, you really inspired me to make more bulletins that can build up to a civil war.
