A split has recently been observed in the legislature. As the State Government met in a top-secret location to continue during the ongoing lockdown, some members took to the stand to criticize "Project Aequitas". They called it a deviant from the ideas Rimskaya was built of, in bowing to a corporate/alliance style organization rather than the "Soviet" they looked towards.

Despite the fact that directing Aequitas down a strictly Socialist path would undoubtedly cause a fall in appeal, those in opposition to the project called the supporters "Bourgeois Traitors" and officially began internal campaigning to change Aequitas to meet the format of its founding nation under the new title "The Rimskaya Revolutionaries Council (R.R.C.)" and formed their own ideological basis, news committee, and leadership, led by a man known only as "Comrade". Rimskaya has always been seen as a no-party state from within, due to the lack of an official Socialist Party, but the R.R.C. has now become the first thing Rimskaya has ever seen that appears like one.

Commissar Democraticus stated that Aequitas is Democratic in name and function, and in its basic ideals and goals is naturally anti-monopoly, but for this new group of radicals, it simply isn't enough, and they demand the project take up a style led by a council dedicated to taking the markets and nationalizing them to the elected project leaders, so that prices can be regulated better by the people's will. Obviously, not only is such a proposition absolute blasphemy and arguably impossible but would also cause Aequitas into a force more dedicated initially to conquering than peace and prosperity. Democraticus also warned against a partisan system of government, reminding the people of the bipartisan nationalist destruction that caused the former USA to collapse, giving birth to Rimskaya.

Currently, the sentiments of the people are unknown due to the lockdown, but once it is lifted, we will see whether or not this new division is really a problem we should be worried about.
