Just over 2 months ago they were $110-ish.

Over the past couple of months, we have watched the global price of food go further and further upwards with no end in sight. It has now topped 200 per ton on average. Since May 25th, food has had an approximate 51.1278% increase, though the number could be higher including previous dates when food prices were known to sit at around 100-110.

It's a wonder anyone can tolerate this, though it's most likely because the majority of nations have yet to notice or aren't worried about it for their own reasons. Of course, this increase is mainly attributed to a large-scaled nuclear war ongoing right now between the major alliances, which will likely only end in nukes everywhere.

One could imagine that as the end there, and perhaps food prices would begin to recede- for the moment. If there are any constants in this world, they are war and radiation. They keep coming and going, and most nations get sick of it. Ever wonder why there are so many inactive nations to raid? Sure, some of them may have just found not enough time to stay active, but others? They just got raided into the ground and likely decided to quit because it made progress impossible.

So why did they just join an alliance? Obviously, those massive alliances could have provided them with everything they need to survive and conquer, right?

Discord rarely would be a problem because who doesn't have Discord (Heh Heh...)?

Perhaps alliances are too demanding with countries as to the return: Being aggressive, helping in massive wars that can cripple some countries easily, lack of ability to play along or have much effect on the alliance government and therefore how it runs (I haven't seen many of the largest alliances that are Democratic though I could be wrong)

Or maybe it's simply because the recruitment telegram spams the moment they enter Orbis that just shuts them down about wanting anything to do with it.

So that begs the question: How to you make an alliance that can REALLY cater to new players, and attract them without all the problems faced by usual alliances? That is one of the main concerns we have for Aequitas right now, but right now we're still working in the shadows. We will come out and present ourselves when we're ready.
