Lyonia Updates The Legislature

Upon review of how elections would work currently, Lord Lysander has added 300 House seats to the House of Representatives, to be granted to large parties/district winners, and an additional 150 Senate seats to the Senate for the same reason. This will likely exacerbate the leads of major parties in Congress, which, in fact, is Lord Lysander's goal by doing this.

“With as many parties that have appeared for this election, we must make sure our Congress is not unable to complete its duties. Upon heavy consideration of polls, it does not appear either side (left or right) will win a majority. Even though the SMDP system will help centralize votes into fewer parties, the concern held by myself and the ERP-C is that such centralization will not provide a majority. We've decided adding in these extra seats to boost the majority parties will likely provide a majority, or facilitate the making of one. It rewards large parties for being popular, as all parties with 10%+ of the seats in Congress prior to these 450 seats being awarded will be granted some of these seats.”
