Look I am in no ways an economist but I can count myself into the group of rightfully concerned citizens. To start with is that the right opinion to have? Rightfully extreme concern? Most people are optimistic that food prices will come down and that this will all end in rainbows an sprinkles. Though that’d be lovely I’ll play devils advocate and say no maybe it won’t end “rainbows and sprinkles and all”. The main group of concerned people are the ones worried about the current problems. Great thing to worry about but may I shift your attention to the bigger problem. If this extreme radiation continues will there even be enough food made to keep the prices of food even half way semi-reasonable. These giant nations selling tons and tons of maybe able to sell at a slightly higher and higher market value but they have probably virtually stopped producing food. Even for those playing the market and buying lower selling higher will run out eventually. This might skyrocket the price of food and we will be dealing with a full on crisis. The problem with radiation is it takes 100 turns to dissipate. Either the creators step in and take this insanity done a notch or the loss of new players and the terrible hit to not yet fully developed nations will be fully realized. I’d like to hear the rest of my fellow nations tell me there thoughts and revise my thinking or others on the matter.

Conclusion:
DOOM IS COMING!!!

Conclusion...

Inevitable...

...

UNLESS...

Indeed, this is a hard-to-understand prospect, but these countries won't be taken down easily at all. Food in the world is always being consumed but growing is becoming increasingly difficult. Nuclear Warfare could easily doom Orbis, if left unchecked.

"Project Demeter" in that respect, is only a temporary solution. The only real solution is to fix the nuke problem, but that is something that requires an absolutely MASSIVE movement that defies the boundaries of alliances and continents, to encompass all of Orbis.

La Punta has in the past bought itself enough food to last 2 months, and I am only a quarter of the way through that stockpile. I'm glad I did it. But when I run out, chances are I will struggle even more to save money and grow. And I'm a nation with a notable revenue. I mean, I know smaller nations obviously have less people to feed, but they might not be nearly as dependent on economics.
