As the Hand of Fate swept down on the upper echelons of TFP in a deliberate and unprovoked attack, so too have other vermin come to gnaw upon the prosperity and peace that our alliance is dedicated to safeguarding. In what can only be considered a cowardly and embarrassing move, the Archduchy of Mann's armies have swept through several nations in TFP with the intent on looting as a ravenous barbarian horde.
Affiliated with the alliance known as 'Carthago', the Archduke of Mann titles himself the 'Pentarch' of Nova Carthago, a Protectorate of Carthago itself. No word has been given from the Diplomatic Corps as to whether this attack has been sanctioned by the Elder of Carthago or if open war between the two alliances will arise. What is known is that such acts of aggression will not go unpunished by TFP, and certainly not by the Confederacy of Falridia.
Upon getting clearance from TFP's Military Command, the Falridian Senate convened to vote upon a declaration of war. Besides a few abstaining votes from the Freedom First Party and the Citizens' Front, the vote for war was unanimous. Within a few hours, the Falridian Air Force has mobilized and begun a terror bombing campaign upon the ground forces of Mann. Casualty reports are already in the tens of thousands, and several other nations of TFP have joined in the struggle against the foreign aggressors.
When asked about the war, President Brooks had this to say: "The Archduke and his cronies rushed into us like a starving wolf, hoping to maul what he could while our alliance was focused on greater things. Little does he know that unlike Carthago, TFP is not a loose band of mongrels incapable of coordinating its members. Mann has attacked us under the childish illusion that they would not be attacked back."
"Their people have sown the wind, and now they shall reap the whirlwind."
