Djonian Astronauts Land on Lunar Surface!

Djonian Astronaut's James Whiteman and Sarah Logan Have Set Foot on the Lunar Surface

Today traffic was light, schools and businesses stopped functioning entirely, and the government's focus was almost entirely glued to the television screen. The Empire was almost at a complete standstill today as the live broadcast of DARA's first mission took place. For months DARA has been constructing its rocket Jones-1 (named after the Imperium) for its mission to the lunar surface. Its cargo? Two astronauts: James Whiteman and Sarah Logan.

Sarah Logan (above) was the first one out of the Lunar Lander. She planted the Djonian flag (which has been designed to not become bleached from the sun's UV radiation) and collected some samples to be returned and studied. James Whiteman set foot on the moon shortly after to take the photographs you see here. The two astronauts are currently on their way back from the lunar surface and are to be recovered from their landing zone in the Indian Ocean. Emperor Jones is expecting to make a televised address to the nation later tonight.
