Dauchh Palki nearly at peak militarization | Economic Advisors warn of recession.

Although likely not sustainable,  Dauchh Palki's military reported the enlistment of 50,000 soldiers in the last month. 7,500 tanks were also readied for combat conditions, airplanes recieved proper maintenance checks, and training drills took place in every military facility.
Although Dauchh Palki does boast a strong economy, its military size is oversized compared to its population.

General John Booker of the forty fifth naval guard says on Monday, "About eighteen percent of Dauchh Palki's population, has been mobilized. Thats a vast drain on our resources, and that's a huge cut to our production, it simply isn't sustainable. You think we have infinite steel and aluminum for ship repairs? Why those ships they sink so easily, its a drain on everything. Global Wars just simply are too costly, and we should avoid fighting one at all cost." Booker looks at the militarization in a negative light, that production of Dauchh Palkian goods will halt, loved ones will be sent off to war, and that drafts could be imposed.

"Many people think war is an adventure, well its not." He adds.

Despite concerns of imminent economic collapse, the militarization efforts pushed by Haley and both DPL and Labour parties have lead to a non-stop rapid mobilization of the nations population. Arms caches have been constructed in the centers of large cities, so that if an invasion does rear its ugly head and strike the shores of Dauchh Palki, the population will be prepared to fight for their country.

Civilians line up for fire arms training, as the nation prepares for what could be the most intensive global war yet. Although a global war has not been confirmed, tensions are high and the country will do all and try anything to minimize the chances of an invasion onto its shores. Military aircraft, and most notably fighter jets have practiced flight paths and air combat over the hills of Dauchh Palki.

New recruits begin their first training courses at The Appalachian Knox Heights military facility.

The government is spending a larger portion of its budget on military spending, and the diminishing of government treasury savings continues, as the nation sold off its iron and uranium ore stockpiles to prepare its rapid military expansion.

The Iron industry has yet to recover, and has actually not seen any recovery from recent nationalization and the industry exodus. The ripple effects of the collapse of the Iron industry have also spread throughout the mining industry as a whole, with continued lay offs in uranium and coal mining. Iron becomes more expensive, and as do products made with Dauchh Palkian iron, thought to be some of the most efficiently and high quality iron and thus iron products in the world. The loss of most of the mining industry has had major affects on the economy and the governments balance sheet.

beginning in February.

Economic advisors are warning that if precautionary action not taken to ward off the harmful effects of rapid mobilization of the nation, as well as large collapses of its productions and resource supplies, a recession is quote, "extremely likely." says John Berfarr, Haleys first economic advisor. The DPSE stock index continues to suffer, and closures of private businesses are becoming more common, and only expected to increase in the next few weeks to even months. Dauchh Palki simply cant handle the economic implications of rapid militarization and collapses in its major industries. Unemployment has jumped to around 9.76% from January's (an all time low of) 6.53% unemployment rate. If economic misfortune (and mismanagement) continues, advisors warn, economic collapse is imminent.

Ruddock Media | Opinion | Haley's Administration Refuses to listen to economic advisors and concerns.

Haley and her administration, with all the various new government cabinets to oversee economic policy, have failed to listen to economic concerns and advised precautions. When Economic advisor John Parasilez recommended that Haley's administration cut taxes on the mining industry to prevent further lay offs, the recommendation was not even seen by any of the government's economic oversight cabinets. When new economic statistics showed rising unemployment and a decline in economic growth, it was brushed off as a, "temporary plague, misfortune." by Lendall Correns. When Ciela Berone asked the South Delarean financial advisory team if it was acceptable for the SDFAT to hold a council meeting with Haley or members of her administration, the answer was, "We would need higher permission from federal offices in Calarie, by which they have declined all requests for an economic advisory meeting with the SDFAT."

Haley and her administration are blind to the real consequences of their radical economic policy changes. Thus they refuse to remove or alter any of the policies that are currently strangling our nations economy.
