Good end to the La Punta-United Imperium summit, and denouncement by United Western Federations

Today La Punta hosted a summit between PM Vjilk and President Lincoln of the United Imperium to discuss such issues as the organization of a defensive pact against bioweapons. There is much more, but this information is mostly classified. The two were said to have shared some laughs, with an image even surfacing of Vjilk drinking wine, although he insists the drink pictured is non-alcoholic. Vjilk plans to visit the United Imperium soon, and that time may vary depending on world events.

In other news, La Punta has received a denouncement from Matthias VonMunich of the United Western Federations, saying:

"The United Federations strongly denounces the liberal and degenerate La Puntan government! If Ivanov fears for reprisals and seeks political asylum in a civilised nation, the United Western Federations will welcome him with open arms."

The funny thing is, he wasn't responding to the government. He was responding to the creation of the Puntan church, with despite it's statement, the average Puntan still views as "disgustingly" conservative. And surely, it is the most conservative institution in La Punta. The Party Party does not count here because while they are economically conservative, they are socially liberal. But to do something as drastic as invite Ivanov, which notably committed a genoc!de of groups such as gays and converted La Punta's energy source to dirty for no other reason than profit or spite - only pits the average Puntan against the United Western Federations and traditionalism altogether.

Realistically, the Puntan church is the only realistic way La Punta could be affected by conservative thought, through a "reintroduction", of a more peaceful kind of Christianity. A Christianity that actually follows Christ. And VonMunich turned it down, damning La Punta to be forever made a nation of what he calls "heathens". Vjilk said of the denouncement:

"If VonMunich wants to have re-asonable discussion with La Punta, than we will welco-welcome him with open arms. Al-though nothing's stoppin' him from being a little b-petty. He should know it's to-it's to no one's benefit to be enemies. And if 'liberal' means what he thinks it means, than he doesn't understand the meaning of the word liberal."

A small terrorist attack occurred in Sinjevo Suda, and it is unknown if that espionage was carried out by United Western Federation spies.
