The End of An Era: The Octic Pure Gear Revolution Falls

The shelling on the Octic Pure Gear Revolution (OPGR) Headquarters finally began 3 days after the initial surrounding of the building. Heavy artillery and tanks bombarded the walls of the headquarters, forcing them to crumble. What was left of the building, was like an opened up doll house. The Octic militants attempt to stop the shelling, by doing some shelling of their own. However, they were quickly eliminated as their small squads manning the 10 mortars around the building in the open field were easily sniped. The militants on the outer defences began firing their rifles as men with bullet proof shields slowly loomed forward, firing their shotguns one by one, following a rhythm. The mortality rate was escalating and many started to head back inside, but most were eventually locked out and forced to fight. Some tried to surrender, but their high involvement within this fascist coup regime were not forgiven. They too, faced the music. 

Upon clearing the surrounding area, a small squad team rushed up to the 3 doors around the building and attempted to break them down. Unfortunately, they were heavily reinforced and barricaded to the brim. The doors would not budge. A few minutes later, a military helicopter flies over along with 2 other attack helicopters and 5 fighter jets. From the military helicopter, a squadron of 15 men leap out and lands on the roof of the building still attached to the rope. From there, they laid down C4 explosives in the centre of the roof. The main office of the coup leader is said to be on the 4th floor of the 5 storey building. The squadron blows up the roof and rubble could be heard damaging the wooden planked floor. As they hang above the hole they have created, they dropped even more dynamite down, a crate load of dynamite, and detonated them. Smoke erupts out from the roof like a volcano, flowing out at extreme speeds. A bright orange flash is seen bursting out, the special equipment protects the 15 men from burning. 

A clear hole is now made from the roof to the 4th floor. The squadron of 15 quickly abseils down and land in the centre of the main office, opening fire at every single guard they see. The fire till a hole through their chests can be seen, a punishment worthy of their crimes. Some top generals attempt to flee the room, their legs shot. Other top officials tried to open fire, their hands shot. The 7 top officials and generals in the room were quickly pinned to the ground, but the coup leader could not be seen. Then, the office chair's slight movement behind the only wooden desk catches the attention of one of the soldiers. 3 men quietly approached towards the desk and once behind, 2 men pulled the desk immediately back and the 3rd man jumps over the desk and points his rifle towards the space infront of the office chair. There squatted the coup leader, shaking uncontrollably, head down and arms above his head.

The 8 people were later brought outside through the main door, the corridor had been cleared of militants. All who defended it were dead. As the 8 coup officials were brought out, the public cheered in unison. The era of the Octic Pure Gear Revolution had finally been concluded. As the 8 men walked down the streets, lined up with tanks and soldiers pointing at them along the way, they were forced to parade from the headquarters, down the street for 7km, representing the 7 years of OPGR rule, before finally being put into a military van and brought away for trial. 

On the 15 of March, 2073. The Octic Pure Gear Revolution fascist coup regime, had finally fallen.
