With the recent decline of major powers such as Sweden and France within Europe lately, the Ruhr has realized that it has been propelled to the status of one of the few remaining regional powers on the continent. Following this line of logic, one would assume this regional power would be able to assert their claims as long as it doesn't lead to war. For the past few months, this was not the case in Europe, but now this is all possible with the absence of Sweden in the Baltic regions. Therefore, the Ruhr reasserts it's dominance over the Baltic and lays claim to the German lands along the Baltic from the major port city of Danzig to the former border of Prussia in the East.

With the recent death of a noblemen within the Second Empire, the balance of the powers along the Rhine have changed once more. The Kingdom of the Ruhr to the east of the Second Empire has gained major cities on both sides of the Rhine from Utrecht to Aachen. With the acquisition of land, King Konrad VI has stated that "The death of the Count of Aachen is tragic, for he was a good friend of the Kingdom of the Ruhr and the Second Empire.
