You are frozen and put into a cryo pod. You are then brought back in 2525.

You are briefed on the great war of 2142 by an ayylien merchant who accidentally pulled you out of deep sleep. In the year, 2142 man had already begun to build space colonies and explore the outer reaches of the inner solar system and making brief voyages to the Jupiter Ganymede station. However, WW3 broke out finally and destroyed a vast portion of humanity still located on Earth. It fragmented Earth governments and only a select few rich settlements and cultures were able to thrive. Of those 3 cultures, religion became a defining part of their identity despite now over a century of prominent atheism and the ebb of religious influence.

You are told 3 factions exist now: The Interstellar of Islam (tracing it's roots back to the Nation of Islam), The Covenant of Scientology, and the Mormon Axiom. All 3 factions are coalitions of small settlements and large space colonies that survived the terran war of 2142.

The Interstellar of Islam is a collection of Muslim and African immigrant colonies funded by the United Nations to alleviate overpopulation in the Middle East and Africa. The Interstellar took some of the more educated members of those societies and placed them in charge of the most destitute of their own background. Some were resentful and saw this as a way to segregated humanity in the vastly open region of space. They are the poorest and least technologically advanced, but make up for it numbers, reliable yet dated technology, and their resent for the other 2 factions. Their quest is to seek vengeance upon the other factions through the aid Yacuub.

The Covenant of Scientology is the most prominent faction when it comes to reunifying humanity. Despite Christianity, Buddhism, and other religions declining in popularity at the end of the 21st century, Scientology saw a boom as the ayyliens were discovered and soon people sought a need for modern spirituality and a connection to space. The Covenant of Scientology allows all human races, economic classes, and even ayyliens to serve in their armies, but are extremely authoritarian. They are lead by the 7th grandson of Tom Cruise and assign permanent roles and ranks to members. Their caste and government system known as Cruise Control is based on the amount of time members have lived in space and their devotion to Scientology. In addition, merit is inherited and certain families possess a higher rank due to the sacrifices of their ancestors for Scientology. They spend their time converting human outposts and colonies to Scientology in an effort to find Lord Zenu.

The Mormon Axiom exists almost squarely as myth. Rich Mormon investors and pioneers began to see Deseret not as a place on Earth, but a place in the universe, for all of existence is God's creation brought on through his divine light. The Mormons left in 2135, just a few years before the great war and only a few remained on Earth, keeping Utah as their 2nd homeland with heaven being their 1st. The Mormon Axiom has not been seen since and only fragmented transmissions coming from Saturn's moons have been detected. However, most believe that these are Mormon-Christian radio broadcasts bouncing back off of Saturn's rings. It was not until an Interstellar of Islam frigate named Shaka Zulu ran out of fuel near the asteroid belt that the first recent signs of Mormons was recorded. The Shaka Zulu was mining for uranium and space titanium in an effort to develop newer weapons right as it was approached by Scientology patrol fleet. They attempted to flee by slingshotting from one of the larger asteroids, Ceres, before being hit by a torpedo and flung on an uncharted course. There they drifted for weeks with the crew slowly dying. As the ship began to dim and oxygen ran low, they were approached by a strange vessel that appeared to bend space. A strange glowing figure appeared and called himself Joseph Smith, before disappearing. As the figure disappeared into a flash of white light, the crew of the Shaka Zulu arose from both their weakened state and even death. As they came to their senses, they found themselves just 3 hours from their lunar colony. That remains as the only known encounter with the Mormons, but many believe they have achieved a new state of humanity and possible psychic awareness from their time spent living in space. No one knows their goal, but some believe they may have willed Joseph Smith back into existence and are on the search for God.

It's a useful mental exercise. Through the years, many thinkers have been fascinated by it. But I don't enjoy playing. It was a game that was born during a brutal age when life counted for little. Everyone believed that some people were worth more than others. Kings. Pawns. I don't think that anyone is worth more than anyone else. Chess is just a game. Real people are not pieces. You can't assign more value to some of them and not others. Not to me. Not to anyone. People are not a thing that you can sacrifice. The lesson is, if anyone who looks on to the world as if it was a game of chess, deserves to lose.

Why does this sound like a fusion of Planetside with Battlefield 2142?

Because it kind of is. Now shut up and join a faction.

First off... what are the specifics on Polygamy for each faction? I assume Interstellar Islam has the 4 wives limit. Scientology has a 1 wive limit? Mormons have... no limit?

Furthermore what is each faction's view on ummm... inter...species would it be with the aliens... yeah, what is their stance on that?

These are vital questions.

Correct on polygamy rules except for Mormon Axiom. They're 1 wife, 1 child limit. They rarely have children now as traveling through deep space and their ascendancy has made their society less reliant on reproduction as members rarely die and are immune to regular human illness/conditions.

All of them allow aliens except the Mormons. The Interstellar of Islam looks down upon it, but allows human/alien half-lings to join. Just don't expect to join the higher ranks if you breed with the ayy lmaos.

Interesting. Islam sounds better but... Yacuub... are white men the devil and to be killed and such? As a white skinned fellow am I going to be seen as scum or are they tolerant of such things in this future? More wives hardly matter if you're at the bottom like that.
