Reforming the Ottoman Army

Recommended Posts

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that 5,000 Laurentian Soldiers in the role of advisors would go to The SoE to reform the aging and outdated Ottoman Armed Forces. Sweeping reforms already under way came about after Laurentia's Defense Analysts in Cyprus told the Sultan of his incapable navy, and his ineffective armoured and artlierry divisions due to high numbers of excess troops.

Laurentian Analysts have been given access to The SoE's Military and have been disecting unfeasible projects and money wasting programs/units. With a navy that is "Incapable of maintain and operating its aircraft carriers and ships, The SoE by all aspects could not sustain nor defend its homeland in any prolonged conflict. Citing lack of maintainece of their ships, excessive and unorganized armoured and artlierry personnel."

Defense Minister Pascal promised to support the Ottoman Military, but called for a higher standard of training and efficency, "Guns and Tanks are tools of war, but the weilder must be able to weild his tools."

SoE Officials welcome the Laurentian Support. It has to say that the Army is not Old. The Army just had too many Tanks and Guns and not enough Men to control it.
It has reduced the Numbers drastically freeing up personel to be assinged to the navy which has happened. We are aware of of our current issues but we are getting Manpower from All Across the Empire and Supporting Powers like T$.
We'd advise to send a smaller number to just inspect and talk. There was never an issue with equiptment but with Unsufficient Manpower.
