Spectral
"In an effort to create a bridge between our great nations, we will band together to research and create something that will revolutionize the security of our nations. I'm afraid I can't offer specifics due to the Classified nature of the project, but I assure you that it will help both nations tremendously." .:Classified:. The project will be to fit a railgun capable of artillery fire onto the base of a tank. It will get the appropriate armor, with 6 spider-like legs capable of folding into the base, the legs going up offer additional armor. The tan treds at the bottom ensure all terrain, while the spider-like legs offer a higher speed.
Spectral
.:Classified:. After nearly 5 months of development, the main battle tank-artillery hybrid had its first prototype. A railgun had been placed on the base of a Challenger 2, while 6 spider-like legs would be equipped to the tank, elevating it, and making faster movement possible. In the event that it came under fire and desired to get closer to the ground to be less of a target, the legs which are designed in a triangular shape, fold up and to the side, covering the top of the railgun, shielding it. The weapon, dubbed Damocles, has had the railgun modified, so that it can alter it's abikities. It can swap from bombardment to rapid fire. Swapping to rapid fire decreases the ammount of energy used, allowing quicker firing. An AI software is built in to aid targeting, though it will not fire independent from the operator. Rapid fire fires the projectile at speeds of 2,100 m/s, reaches up to 45 miles, and at intervals of 22 seconds; but when it's in bombardment, it's capability goes to 3,100 m/s, up to 120 miles, abd intervals if 45 seconds. The projectile weighs 15 LBs. Bombardment Mode Main Battle Tank mode Edited November 2, 2017 by Spectral
Spectral
Finally, after intense research, Damocles is ready to appear on the battlefield. .:Classified:. The final issue, as of several weeks ago, was solved. The design permitted a distribution of tension that would permit continous rapid fire for up to 3 minutes. This would effectively make the Damocles a lethal fighting force.
