Prince Hunter of Bavaria
[Marine Le Pen, leader of the United French Party] The United French Party, the third largest party in the Laurentian National Assembly recently proposed to cut 23 Billion of the 50 Billion Francs of Military aid to the Socialist Ottoman Empire. Party leader, Marine Le Pen called for the Democratic Coalition to suspend the funds. The move came after Laurentian Diplomats were recalled after a series of deadly strikes. The United French Party encompasses a mixture of the right factions in Laurentian Politics. While there are a small fraction of the far leftists, a majority of the party is led the far-right. [Vice President of the Union for a Popular Movement] The Vice President of the UPM and Coalition Whip reaffirmed the official response by the Prime Minister’s office by stating the Coalition would not support this bill, even after reports that the RPR and Law and Justice would support it. The Democratic Coalition, formed from the Law and Justice Party, Democratic Movement, Union for a Popular Movement, Rally for the Republic, and the Christian Democratic Union is the ruling party in the Laurentian Government. Remaining a majority in the National Assembly and controlling the Government, The CDU, UPM, and Law and Justice make up the Center-Right wing of the Party, while the DM and RR form the center-left wing party. President Laurens is from the UMP party while Prime Minister Korczak stems from the majority CDU/UMP wing of the Coalition. The Rally for the Republic and Law and Justice Party recently came out to support the bill from the Far-Right United French Party which would stop funding the SOE Armed Forces. The SOE is the biggest recipient of Military aide from Laurentia, totaling almost 50 Billion Francs in the 2016-2017 year. Even with the Law and Justice Party and PRP support. The Bill does not have close to the required majority in the National Assembly. [Leader of the Law and Justice Party] “These attacks simply show that Laurentia’s Military Aid has been wasted. While these are unconventional methods, there are much more efficient ways to spend the Laurentian Military Aid.” The Law Laurentian Foreign Minister Rouzlet urged all the parties who supported the bill to reconsider the bill. Speaking to press outside the Foreign Minister, said, “I believe this is an irrational response by the National Assembly. This is a delicate situation, and we must be constructive than destructive. Laurentian Military aid has one function, to support the SOE Armed Forces, not the Intelligence Services. The SOE Police and Security Forces have thwarted many attacks against Laurentian assets in The SOE on numerous occasions and provide superb protection for the Laurentian Airbase in Incirlik. This bill will not change any outstanding relations and trade between the SOE and Laurentia” [National Finance Advisor] Reported the Laurentian GDP grew by 300 Billion Francs. The National Finance Advisor and the National Finance Council reported that a 2018 Budget Bill was submitted to the President and Prime Minister. The Budget included reported slashes to health and defense spending, while increase in education and entertainment. The National Security Advisor did not comment on any questions, but leaks in the Laurentian Finance Ministry reported Defense Minister Pascal was furious that 20 Billion Francs would be cut from the Defense Budget. While the Defense Ministers office denied these reports, the leaks insisted they were accurate. The National Finance Advisor also announced that 15 Billion Francs would be delivered in aid to Wintery. Laurentian Defense and National Finance Advisor stated that the funds would be directed to aid the Wintery Armed Forces, both to maintain combat readiness and expand their military where they see fit. Over 5,000 Laurentian Troops remains stationed in Wintery to assist the Military and Border Police as part of Operation Majestic.
