With war finally erupting the monstrous factories that took up miles and miles of the ground floor began working around the clock, no downtime for anyone, human or synthetic. The 95% unemployment began to dwindle down as more and more were recruited to produce weapons of war or continue the various construction projects that were eternally unfinished. Strangely as more humans were hired the synthetics began working even more efficiently, as though they felt they would d̢̕͞͞i̵̡e̶͜͞ if they did not prove their worth. Anansi became uneasy with the prospect of war, changing his calculations with far too many unknown variables. It was through a lengthy discussion that the AI was convinced of the long term benefits to the conflict.

Human and Synthetic up to this point had not worked alongside one another in many fields, with most jobs only requiring one or the other. The increased interaction between the two groups had led to new problems, with those who were not chosen for employment yet taking out their frustrations upon the synthetic populations.
