"Do people even know where New Guinea is?", General Eclair Montfort asked, as she watched the ceremony before her. In the midst of the Place de la Nation, in front of the Grand Palace of Mionésie's capital Myoubourg, the crowds gathered, to listen to one of the few occasions where their leader, Mio Akiyama, spoke to them directly. "I'm pretty sure we could save a lot of money if we weren't putting on such a spectacle and the Grand Maréchal too has better things to do, no?" Montfort kept questioning. However, next to her, a fellow general disagreed. "No, Général Montfort, this is very much necessary. Because noone knows that we exist, we ought to share our greatness with the world. How else are people else supposed to see our greatness?" General Theodore Piquet smiled happily, chirping his nationalist lines. "Also, the people are delighted to once again see their leader." Still not convinced, Montfort sighed and merely responded with "Not like we cared much about the outside world."

As finally, after a good two hours of waiting, the Grand Maréchal finally moved onto the stage, to deliver her lines, clothed in her neatly cut black military uniform, her peaked cap adorned with the golden bird of paradise of Mionésie, the masses quited down, to hear their most beloved leader speak. As she opened her mouth after a good five minutes on the stage, she then merely stated. "People of this grand nation. The World out there is dangerous. But together we will brave it and establish a Moecracy of a Thousand Years, spreading cuteness to all eight corners of the world... or not. Today, the Grand Council has decided that our great country will cautiously engage with its neighbours, so as to see how we may cooperate and benefit, as we work towards perfecting cuteness in our own country!" As she finished, the people still seemed somewhat paralysed, letting the grand speech sink in, before a roaring applause was given and they cheered. "Pour la Mionésie!" The gendarmerie present with batons readied did totally not have anything to do with that.

Heavenly Emperor Cheonsa was monitoring his nation from the holographic screens in his throne room.

"Ooh, looks like we have another new nation here. They seem friendly enough, and pretty cute too. I didn't know such people existed in such a hostile area. Maybe I should give them a call and introduce myself."

From his throne, he delivered a message of possible friendship between the two nations and introduced himself, also inviting any representatives from the Moecracy to come to Amenria.

"MoG[Corp] welcomes another nation to Orbis, it is good to see Asia spark with life. A welcome basket will be sent to your leader."
-Haylee Roggeveen, MoG[Corp] Chief Officer of Foreign Affairs

Said basket arrived within a day from a transport aircraft, containing redbush tea, Biltong, Konfyt, Koeksisters, and a few other uniquely South African foods.

From his throne, he delivered a message of possible friendship between the two nations and introduced himself, also inviting any representatives from the Moecracy to come to Amenria.

The Minister of the Exterior, Général Catherine de Pétèvéllier-Liancourt arrived at her office, already bored with her job. There was not much to do in the external affairs of a closed off country. People by now had even started to think her position as the Minister of the Exterior was due to her own appearance, as Catherine was putting in quite the effort to seem cute and hide her cynical and somewhat rotten nature. Despite her short stature, or maybe even more so because of it, Pétèvéllier-Liancourt was one of the most memorable personalities in the government and an idol of the armed forces, second only to the Grande Maréchal. Keeping that reputation was important. Such reputation also led to her appointment as Minister of the Exterior though, because really, who could better deal with outsiders than the idol general, adept at conquering hearts almost as well as conquering countries.

However, work was boring and Pétèvéllier-Liancourt hated it. Shutting the door of her office, in the privacy now afforded, she flung the handful of daily briefings onto the desk and lamented her own misfortune. "Goddamn terrible. Nothing to do. Foreigners just steal our land, but I guess colonies became cool again. Not that we got any. Maybe we should get some, then I can ask for them to be added to my portfolia. Would give me something to do here." As she contemplated whether or not this appointment was a plot to remove Pétèvéllier from power, she noticed two letters in her inbox. Taking the first, she curiously opened it. "Huh, Armenia writes us... did they even exist?" After becoming a bit wary, she double-checked the name, to discover, it actually was Amenria. "Well, I guess I at least don't need to visit the Caucasus. Though these people do seem weird."

Taking out a pen, she then wrote a response, asking where representatives were supposed to go to be received.

Next, there was a letter with a fruit basket. "How nice. I wonder if the Grande Maréchal will mind a bit less roibos. Someone gotta tastestest that stuff anyway."

-incoming message from the planet of Meta-

"Greetings to the leaders of Grand Mionésie. My name is Eva-Beatrice, the leader of Rokkenjima. I would welcome you to Orbis, however we no longer reside there. If you are unfamiliar with Rokkenjima, we are a former nation of Orbis governed by a council of witches, built around the vast amount of magic our nation possesses. We currently reside on the planet of Meta, located on the opposite side of the sun as Orbis, and the same distance away. You are receiving this message because the Witch Council recognizes your nation, and wishes to open formal diplomatic relations as well as trade. The Council would also like to offer to protect Grand Mionésie militarily as an act of friendship between our two nations. A more detailed discussion will be held if your government would grant us the honor of meeting with them. In the event they do, the Witch Council can either travel to Orbis or invite you to Rokkenjima's capital of Evatrice on Meta. We look forward to your response."

A response was sent, asking how to get to Evatrice, given that the Moecracy was interested in sending an envoy to see this strange land, but that they had no means of leaving Earth at the current time.

Cheonsa invites the diplomatic representatives to the capital, Mutiara, to discuss bilateral relations between the two nations.

A similar response was sent to Cheonsa, though here the matter was more that the Moecracy had no clue where Mutiara was. Clear instructions would be appreciated, preferably including a map, so that even the somewhat geographically challenged diplomats of Mionésie could find their way.

After a positive response was received from the basket, an exact coordinates to where to land for safe arrival to The Cape's airport was sent, along with a diplomatic message.

"We are willing to send one of our starships to pick up any person the Moecracy wishes to send, if you would grant us permission to enter your airspace. Another option would be to teleport them directly to Evatrice whenever they are ready. Either way is fine with us."

A map of Amenria was sent to a government official of the Moecracy, showing the coastal capital in the nation's mainland. It also included instructions on the things to do, places to go, and Amenrian officials to meet there. The officials from the Moecracy would be escorted by the Imperial Guard to the Pearl Palace after arriving.
