Imperial Times: Special Edition

 

 

Hello, Prince Ericson here speaking for this edition of Imperial Times as I believe the topic I am about to discuss calls for it.

 

-his expression then turns serious-

 

A few hours earlier within our city of Lily's shipyard, Seekers conducted what they believed to be a serious drug bust concerning a gang that was believed to have received a large shipment of drugs. The bust was definitely a success and the suspects arrested, what they were busting was definitely not drugs.

 

-the screen then switched the POV of a bodycam of a Seeker that revealed a dozen women of different nationalities huddled together in a crate -

 

*Male Seeker in the background* My goddess...

 

-the screen switched to another bodycam showing a group of children also of different nationalities being lead out of another crate- 

 

*Another Male Seeker speaks* We're counting at least fifteen kids here, Captain

 

-the screen finally flicks to a short man with dark hair and stubble being pushed into a car as Ericson speaks again- 

 

The leader of this little operation, Eric Young, as well as his cohorts are currently be detained within Lily, but plans to have him and several others transferred to Omni are in the works for more intensive questioning. As you can see, the women and children that were found were not all Winterian citizens. After being examined and treated for any injuries, we interviewed the women on where they possibly came from although our questions have mostly been unanswered. Children Services that were put in charge of the child victims had also yield little result.

 

And this is where I explain why I wanted to lead this broadcast. Clearly these women and children had been ripped from their homes, and my desire is for me to see they are returned safely. I ask the international community that if they recognize any of the victims presented in the videos to contact us. We also ask for help in locating those responsible for kidnapping and shipping the victims. Thank you.

In response to the great crimes displayed, the Cobber initiates a discussion with the foreign minister.

 

Here is a quote taken by the New Guard for the public to be informed about the Cobbers opinion:

 

Yeah well, can't really say I'd be surprised if a few of those came from Arloskva. We don't appreciate smuggled people coming into the country, and I don't appreciate people being smuggled out of it. However, there is no doubt a few would have denied the free rides out of the country in favour of making the government seem like it's committing human rights violations. There is none of it, I can guarantee it. The mass exodus on the part of the White Arloskva policy has almost come to a close, so it stands to reason that people will be showing up all over the shop. I can't take responsibility for them, that was the whole point of the policy, but I can send some monetary compensation for your trouble. Totally blue about this, honest truth.

As response from Arloskva came in, it brought up some serious questions. The White Policy Arloskva had implemented was not something The Kingdom of Wintery had approved of but had remained silent on. Still, the Seekers were told that if any of the women confirmed they came from Arloskva to question them extensively on the why.

 

One was found amongst the group, a woman no older than twenty who didn't admit to any human rights violations done by Arloskva government but did not say anything more on the subject.

 

Since it was safe to assume sending her or any other woman possibly from Arloskva back was out of the question, asylum would be given to them and the compensation taken only to be split amongst the women to help them settle within the kingdom.

 

If anyone within the Arloskva government wished to discuss this further they were free to.

Tanzania was filled with various criminal elements that tended to thrive on the outskirts of society due to no formal governmental control and being one of the poorest regions in the world. Along with drug trafficking and the other traditional organized crime activities, they also dabble in the flesh trade as supplemental income. When this was uncovered through surveillance of the oceans surrounding MoG[Corp] shipping, entertainingly enough by one of the shipments escaping on a nearby ship managing to reach a lifeboat, all ships leaving the region from the mainland would begin to be subject to cargo checks by coastal defense ships. The girls had come from all over the world, so it was likely that they had been a waypoint to other locations, an unexpected and overly sophisticated aspect for the local gangs potentially, as it perhaps meant links to other crime groups around the world. It was also decreed to begin surveillance upon the leaders of all criminal organizations in the areas surrounding MoG[Corp] to better determine the sources.

It would be no surprised that the Pack would get involved with this as something like this clearly fell within the Royal Shield Act. Pack Captain Liam Mills was put in cnarge of leading the investigation with strict instructions to report straight to the prince on any vital updates. He would also be handed any information given by the international community and instructed to use it as he saw fit.

 

When the information from Mogatopia was given to him, he first sent it to Child Services with instructions to once more interview the children especially those who could have came from Africa in hopes of maybe gaining a lead into the link within the chain. If gang activity was involved, he wouldn't have been too surprised if some of the children were possibly sold to pay off someone's debt.

 

The result was mix as Children's Services were able to identify several children from Africa, but few were able to fully communicate due to the language barrier. The most a Seeker could get was that one girl was taken to a clinic to be looked over before being given away. Mills didn't think that would be enough information for Mogatopia to go off on, he forwarded it anyway as well as a request that Mogatopia would make sure the homes for these children were safe.

 

Once that was done, Mills thought it be best to make a public statement concerning the situation through the Imperial Times:

 

"As much as I believe these children should be at home with their parents safe and sound, it could be that their parents were the ones who put them in this situation. As such, I would like to add to what the prince said earlier. If any of these children are originally from your country please contact us but also make sure they will be going home to safe places. I would also like to add that over the next few days, the children will be placed in foster families until then. Thank you."

Through cellular and drone surveillance the primary sources of human trafficking within the unincorporated regions to the north, and within a week eight other locations a total of fourteen people who controlled what amounted to two thirds of human trafficking in central Africa. Six Predator C design drones would follow them until nine of them were together, while a dozen intelligence operatives moved in on the other five, the highest priority to be captured alive was a man called Beno. He was found to be the owner of the vessel from which the escapees came from and was wanted for further questioning into the logistics of his operation. Beno was the leader of a gang with seven of them and five females in the VIP section of a bar they ran out of. It was decided to send in an additional squad of operators along with the four spooks as backup and while attempts were made to minimize losses the final tally was all in the room dead but Beno and one of the girls by the name of Himaya. Himaya turned out to be an excellent source of information as Beno's "girlfriend", and the right pressure points were found within the house to motivate Beno into cooperation as to the whereabouts of the vessel from which the girls had escaped from off the coast. Simultaneously to the dispatching of the five lonely targets, justice rained down upon the nine unlucky souls who decided to congregate, the Avengers removing them from the mortal coil.

Ujana, one of the captives who the idiotic kidnapper had attempted to take out of the crate for some personal time with that led to the chain of events that ended with the entire crate escaping was used to identify the crew of the ship, and a boarding operation was begun, leading to the death of four of the crew and the release of another thirty women from across the globe. Translators were brought in to assist in identifying and relocating those who were actually kidnapped, and those whose parents had a part in their ordeal were given the option of remaining in Mogatopia and assistance in finding a career.

MoG[Corp] Translation Associates would be sent to assist in discussions with any captives of African descent to potentially locate alternative family members, grandparents and the like who would be more cooperative to maintaining the safety of the girls, it was decided to allocate some funding to assist in those likely to be from Africa until a vetting process would be put into place to identify those who sold them into slavery originally. Using Beno to go down the chain to those who were responsible for capturing or purchasing the females, and through them identifying those who committed the heinous act of selling their children.

After a long silence from numerous foreign affairs, Britannia has chosen to step out of their shadow and respond to the criminal activity concerning the smuggled people. Numerous Colonial governors met in Pendragon to deliver a response to the news and provide their own help towards stopping it.

 

Lelouch: "It is simply inexcusable what these criminals are doing in Wintery and wherever they are operating. These criminals have violated the basic human rights of these individuals and will be brought to justice one way or another."

 

Suzaku: "The Holy Britannian Armed Forces and their colonial militia will be offering their assistance to any country that are engaged against these criminals in the form of both man and machine power. We have an estimated one hundred Knightmare frames which will be used in coordination with various governments and military to track down these criminals. They will be leaving Britannia as of tomorrow.

The Heavenly Emperor of Amenria sends a broadcast in his throne room.

 

Cheonsa: "This act of crime is an insult to us soldiers of God. As He has instructed in the Quran, Al Baqarah, verse 128, bismillahirahmanirahim, "Indeed, those who believed and those who have emigrated and fought in the name of Allah - those expect the mercy of Allah, and Allah is forgiving and merciful.", we shall combat these infidels, both within, and outside our borders. We will increase the units per shift in our 24/7 patrols and send representatives to investigate this case in foreign lands."

 

Meanwhile, an Amenrian shinobi stationed in East Africa watches a group of shady men involved in a transaction from behind a nearby wall. He records their conversation before the group disperses. One of the men walked past him, and he quickly knocks him out with a hit from the handle of his sword before the man could even notice him. He takes the unconscious man with him then calls a Mogatopian officer from an untraceable communications device and sends coordinates to the officer.

 

Shinobi: "Do not be alarmed. I am on your side. I have something that might be of use to you. Meet me at the designated location to collect it. I look forward to seeing you in person."

Hali Samara was a resourceful man, born in the borderlands he had become quite the asset in the field, a fluency in the local languages and seemed like a natural in whatever environment he faced. He ended up at the coordinates within a few hours with an aerial escort in the event of an ambush it could be transformed into an equally destructive proposition, armed with a PDW slung over his shoulder underneath a jacket and a sidearm, he awaited contact from whomever was the mysterious voice on the phone.

Suddenly, a masked man jumps down from a nearby rooftop with a half-open body bag, with another man inside of it. The masked man bows and begins talking "I am shinobi from Amenria. I was sent to establish surveillance in a nearby area, where I found some suspicious individuals. As you might know, we are working on the same case and Amenria is willing to cooperate with you. I was ordered to turn this person in to your officials as a sign of good will." He then puts the gagged, tied, writhing person in the body bag on the ground before stepping back a few centimetres, bowing again, and throwing a smoke bomb at the ground, disappearing.

With more nations speaking up on the crime and of course displeasure also growing at home, it was no surprise that the royal family had placed more pressure on the investigation to be resolved. Of course, the roadblocks were still present as it ranged from language barriers and victims still unidentified. However, some measure had been made thanks to the input Mogartopia had put in place. Those of African decent amongst the children that were found safe homes would be removed from their foster homes and prepared to be taken to Mogartopia. 

 

There was also some progress with the interrogations. Eric Young had stayed mostly silent, even with more intensive interrogation brought on. Of course the same couldn't be said for one of his closer cohorts, a young Chinese nationalists named Tao Wen. In exchange for leniency, she was willing to reveal that yes, some of the girls and children were possibly held in Central Africa. She had also revealed that Young was offered to have another shipment by land, but Young didn't want to risk crossing border patrol. As such, it's possibly hinted that there's another connection on mainland Asia.

 

This information was sent to the nations that wished to continue to help in breaking apart this operation.

“Upon learning of these heinous crimes, the Emperor himself has decided to make an appearance in person, on Orbis III, to release a statement. This is very rare for the Emperor, or at least, it is now. Many years ago, he made many speeches, but those days are over.†a reporter said over the Imperial Holonet, the Empire’s main source for news in the new era. “We have received word that the speech will be beginning any moment, and so we will be switching over to the location. Our schedule will return to normal tomorrow at dawn.†he added before the location appeared on screens and/or holograms throughout the empire.

Night was falling over the city, which, up until recently, had been called Richmond. The buildings, for the most part, had been destroyed and replaced with ones that matched the style used by the Akaata before the planet was first abandoned. However, the Governor’s palace, which was built inside of the region’s pre-Akaatan capital, remained the same. As light shone upon the building, an entity made of darkness appeared and moved towards the front of the building. Suddenly, as the entity arrived at it’s destination, it manifested itself in a humanoid form- The Emperor. Slowly, he stepped forwards and prepared to give a speech.

“People of the Akaatan Infinite Empire, citizens of this planet we call Orbis III, there have been reports of kidnappings on this world. I have received word that several citizens our colony on the planet, most of them being Women and Children of Human origin. At the same time, we have also had some reports of Akaatans, our people, being kidnapped. Given that we have only just arrived, as well as that there are still several criminal elements left in our territory, it is only logical to state that these criminal elements are likely working together with those who have taken citizens from the following nations: Arloskva and Mogatopia. The prime suspect of these kidnappings, at least in the Akaatan Infinite Empire, is a group we are calling the “Flame of Justiceâ€, who have been responsible for bombings in major Populated centers on the planet. As such, we declare war on the Flame of Justice so that we may stop the kidnappings and attacks on Akaatan citizens. That is all.†the Emperor said before returning to his other form.

It's a normal day in RSA Bureau. Kojiro Sung, the Head of Red Sea RSA Bureau, were relaxing in his room.

It was a pleasant day in the bureau, until the bureau alarm turned on in an emergency state all of a sudden.

 

Kojiro walked out to the central room. Everyone panicked.

 

Kojiro tried to calm down the situation.

 

"calm down everyone. calm down. what's the matter, Ray?" 

 

"sir, we received a message from the mainland" , said Raymond Sudjaja, a bureau assassin.

 

"show it on the main screen" said Kojiro.

 

"okay sir"

 

The screen showed up the throne room, with the emperor sitting on the throne.

 

"good morning, everyone"

 

"y-y-your majesty? you contacted us all of a sudden..is there something important?"

 

"yes, of course. you're right. we have something important. listen. the world's in crime-emergency situation. The neighbouring countries informed me that there are drug smugglings and human traffickings, they informed me those drug smugglers planned to escape to Africa,  and they'll be crossing through your place. I need you, all of you, to investigate, and chase them down. that's all."

 

"yes, sir. roger that"

 

The broadcast ended and Kojiro started to prepare for the pursuit.

 

"we just need three-or-four, i guess. let's move. Ray, you're the one to lead the team"

 

Ray nodded and he walked to the outside of the bureau, with three bureau assassins followed him, and stopped at the edge on the building's top.

 

"here we go"

 

The team jumped and flew away , heading east, leaving the bureau.

"Mother, you never explained why it had to be me leading this again?" Ericson said as he looked over the emailed report Mills had sent him. "People will think you're slacking off on your responsiblites."

 

"Perfect opportunity for you to handle yourself on an international level." The empress said as she looked at the oldest, "But tell me, what have gathered so far."

 

Ericson sighed, "Mogatopia has definity confirmed connections in Africa. For now, we'll allow them to handle operations there, but I have sent a message asking to keep up updated. We have also finished preparations to help send the children from that part of the world sent back as soon as confirmation on their guaranteed safety is ensured.

 

"Britannia has also offerred assistance in the form of manpower as well as those Knightmares. The manpower will definitely be needed as I do intend to have the investigation go further mainland to verify Tao Wen's claim and that might cause some problems."

 

"You're not planning on stepping on someone's sovereignty , are you?"

 

"Of course not, but the rest of China isn't our biggest fan. If they allow us into their lands but cause issue later on, I want some back up."

 

Amaryllis still didn't look happy but she nodded, "What else do you have?"

 

Ericson frowned a bit more as he reread over another part of the email, "Akaatan Infinite Empire has also claimed of having its citizens kidnapped. Odd considering they are a more recent nation. Despite this, I told Mills to send them the remaining list of victims who's origins have yet to be discovered and see if they can identify them."

 

"And how many have yet to be discovered?"

 

Ericson sighed, "Still a dozen children who have yet to be identified and besides the one Arloskan woman, none are too keen are talking still. Until then, we have placed them in various shelters within Lily."

 

"I see," Amaryllis came up to Ericsona and placed a hand on his shoulder, "I continue to wish you luck, my son."

One night, a group of soldiers patrolled the southern border of Amenria.

 

Soldier 1: (in Mandarin) "..and then she rolled around on her back! She was so cute!"

Soldier 2: "Cats are always cute, mine just gave birth to 3 healthy kittens, and.."

 

Suddenly, a young woman stepped in front of the patrol car, almost getting run over.

 

Soldier 1: *steps on brake* Astagfirullah, what is that!?

Soldier 3: I'll go check it out *steps outside the car*

 

The soldier then introduces himself, pointing his rifle at the crouching person, "Private Liu of the Amenrian Army! Put your hands in the air and state your business here!"

 

The woman, shaking, untidy and malnourished, raised her hands as she begged, "Please, take me with you! They were terrible, terrible people! I managed to escape them but no one knows when they'll take me back to them! Please, please take me with you!" she got on her knees and kept begging.

 

"this must be one of the victims again, I gotta help her", thought the young ashigaru. He helped her up and carried her inside the car. "Don't worry, miss, we'll protect you." The woman thanked him and the soldiers dropped her off in a nearby outpost before continuing their patrol.

-Foreign Advisor- "Emperor Zeus, We've recieved word of a large human trafficking organization that has spread throughout a few large empires and are suspecting the same might be here"

 

-Emperor Zeus- "Close the Borders, no one gets in or out without my say so, I want the Royal army and the the Imperial forces to begin scanning every populated areas immediately and anything suspicious should be given the fullest investigation. Report back within a week of anything you find"

 

-Foreign Advisor- "As you wish sir" *she then stepped out and released the following message to the citizens of UKC and the world*

 

"The UKC is closing all borders temporarily and Imperial Guards along with the Royal Army will be searching for any signs of human trafficking. Punishments will be swift to any violators and any who oppose the new law."

Statement from the US Secretary of State

The United States will try to participate in tackling the problem of human trafficking and smuggling because it has been one of the global issues that need to be addressed wisely without sacrificing justice and human rights. The United States government will always be in the forefront to condemning and protesting the racialist policy made by the government of Arloskva. The government must not forcibly evict people who have started to live happily at their homes. However, the Arloskvan Government has committed crime against humanity. Arloskvan Government has made their people crossing the ocean and wandering without thinking the sense of justice. They are very risk for being trafficked and smuggled. In other words, the Government of Arloskva has supported human trafficking and smuggling.

It was a rainy, cold night. A bunch of border guards were watching the television inside the post. What's being aired on the television? Oh, it's a variety show. The guards were laughing after they heard a comedy phrase by the show's comedian.

 

It was a pleasant night, not until they were surprised by the knock on the door. 

 

"who's that?" guard Yang shouted.

 

Guard Chozai abruptly shut guard Yang's mouth, whilst giving a sign to be quiet.

 

"shhh..." he said.

 

The post leader, guard Chansung silently took a rifle and walked toward the door. The other guards had also pulled out their guns.

 

he whispered, and are planning to open the door.

 

"in one..two...three.. FREEZE!"  

 

There, a three RSA agents, were standing, in the door, confused.

 

"what the hell are you doing?", said RSA agent Ray.

 

"ah, sorry. we thought it's not you! why didn't you inform us before?"

 

"there's a reason. let me in. i'm freezing out here"

 

The three RSA agents that came from RSA Bureau in red sea, stepped into the post and closed the door. They dried up themselves and sat down on the sofa. The other guards continued watching the television, meanwhile guard Chansung and Chozai made a coffee for them.

 

"here, drink this", Chansung offered.

 

"thanks" , Ray said.

 

Chansung sat down in front of Ray, and he knew for himself that he's curious about their sudden visit, however, he kept it out from his mind as he knew that Ray could read people's minds.

 

Ray, in the other side, while drinking the coffee with the other RSA agents, he had already read Chansung's mind.

 

"i see. you can't wait to know the information i got, eh?" asked Ray.

 

"awww come on! it's the 65 times that you read my mind!" yelled Chansung.

 

"okay. okay. here. i was ordered, directly, by the emperor" , said Ray, with a heavy sound. Looks like he caught a cold.

 

In a confusion, he suddenly changed his words, he asked, "for what matter? it's really unusual that the emperor ordered you guys directly"

 

"he was informed, that there is a massive drug smuggling and human trafficking cases. and he told me to inform every border posts, and of course, you too"

 

"eh..so that's the case. well, i guess we must tighten our security. is that right?"

 

"yep, that's all. hmm..by the way, we're gonna leave you tomorrow, in the dawn. so..we need a room to rest"

 

"there, you guys can sleep in my room. because i'm not gonna sleep tonight", said Chansung.

 

The RSA agents, including Ray, walked onto the room and lied down on the bed. The others, they washed up themselves in the bathroom.

 

'being an RSA agent is surely tiring, huh..', Chansung murmured, and he continued to join the others, watching the television.

(Hey guys sorry kind of had a block so couldn't post)

 

Investigating further into the homeland hadn't wielded much, which was a disappointment but not a deterrent as Prince Ericson had decided to not suspend the investigation there. He also issued an international statement to encourage other nations with information to please share with the kingdom.

 

In the meantime, the one who had kicked this whole thing off - Eric Young - was charged today and would Be facing up to life in prison. This same punishment would also shared with his gang although some had volunteered testify against him in exchange for leniency.

 

The announcement also came with possibly bitter news as cameras had caught Eric Young who was going to be transferred up north appeared to have been beaten. When the video was released, Pack Captain Mills had stated Young had a run in with another detainee who did not take kindly to Young's crime of child smuggling.

OFFICE OF THE MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS:

 

"Good evening. After a long investigation with multiple authorities, including the Maldivian government, we were able to make certain that 2 children who were smuggled into Wintery had gone missing earlier in the Maldives. Their parents have been informed. Hungadada is outraged at the human trafficking that is happening. We are working with the Maldivian authorities to figure out how the 2 children got from the Maldives to Wintery. Of course, we have full faith in the authorities of Wintery, that they can take care of the kids until we can figure out where exactly they came from. A case file regarding the outcome of the investigation will be provided privately to nations should they want it. 

 

Maldivian authorities also arrested 20 people yesterday who have been charged with human trafficking, kidnapping, and child endangerment after an undercover investigation found them blatantly engaging in smuggling and human trafficking, both with children and adults. 3 of the arrested have admitted that they are part of the NOSTRA human trafficking gang. They admit that this gang worldwide reach, and preys on the innocent and poor. A full blown investigation concerning NOSTRA is now underway, both in Hungadada and in all of its territories. We will keep the world updated. Thank you."

The low whirr of the occasional helo or VTOL were a regular occurrence now in the Botswana and Zimbabwe, the Kalahari Desert had been quite useful to those of a less savory sort to those who wished to do business out of sight, and drone surveillance had found just those sorts of people. A medium sized delivery van was currently with a group of six large black SUVs, from thermal imaging from above certainly armored up to class 2 at least that had contained at least thirty men near armed with a mix of PDWs and assault rifles. Opposite stood a group of forty-three around some open top jeeps holding nearly all AKs from the headlights surrounding the two groups, a decent number appeared to be even custom painted, suggesting intimate knowledge of using the thing. Two men stood at the center, one with a decent sized bag, they communicated for several minutes before dropping the bag between them while one of the militant group went over to the van and entered the back of the vehicle.

About fifteen minutes prior to the meeting twin stealth helicopters took off from an installation to the south of Ghanzi, along with two less stealthy escorts, they made their approaches to the target site from three separate angles, a loudspeaker system upon both of the two escorts began blaring a rumbling baseline, filling the surrounding desert with the thumping sounds, the drone camera watched the slowly unsettled and as the noise approached agitation of the two groups of heavily armed men, audio was unclear due to the frantic speaking of several dozen at once with both groups descending into heavily organized chaos. The stealth helos kept their distance, circling nearby while the escorts approached from what would have been "behind" both groups of men, who then immediately began blaming the other for a setup, the leader of the militia fired the first shot just as the song came to its crescendo, the sound of gunfire overtaking even the massive speakers upon the choppers, who had also begun unloading 30mm rounds into the those away from the van, minimizing the risk to the hostages, the modified blackhawks coming in quickly afterward to mop up those left and free the girls.

Once the scene was considered secure, a women stepped off one of the choppers to investigate further, searching the armored SUVs, coming up with several encrypted cell phones and laptops, cursory examination found the leader's cell and called his boss, pulling out a small device to play a sound file of the now deceased individual's voice saying, "It's done, We will meet you at the drop in 12 hours." Handing the phone to one of the techs brought along she walked back to the helicopter which took off a few moments later, the operators would be catching a ride in the escort helos to an airfield where six replacement SUVs had been flown in to complete the disguise.
