Catsby an I have been talking about some changes we'd like the game to have. Here they are:

1. changing up military so that:

Ground beats Naval

Naval beats Air

Air beats Ground

2. add more types of units

3. invade military improvements and control them for the duration of the war

4. winner in wars steals some land

5. trading land

6. trading military units

7. trading anything(resources, land, military units, captured spies) for anything

8. another type of spy operation, being able to capture enemy spies

9. capturing spies spying on your nation

10. trading spies for money and captured spies

11. execute captured spies

12. torturing captured spies to extract information about their country, though they may not always say it, and of they do, it might sometimes be inaccurate

Here are more explanations for each of them:

1. Just a way to add balance to wars and make sure that no unit is too overpowered.

2. A way to make wars more interesting and have more strategy. They don't need to by anything more then more types of ships, planes, tanks, troops, or even artillery(https://politicsandwar.com/forums/index.php?/topic/18639-new-units/)

3. During wars, units should be able to capture the enemy's military improvements. The person who captured them can then use them like his/her own, but only for that war. The person who had their improvements captured cannot use them at all. But they can get recaptured any time during the war. If they get recaptured, or the war is over, then the capturer will not be able to use the improvement anymore and all extra units will be destroyed.

4. The winner in a war will be able to steal land from the opponent. The opponent will lose a certain amount of land, and all of it is given to the winner and split evenly between all cities.

5. Land can also be traded, like any other resource. People can put it up on the market, set a price, and if it is bought or sold, the seller will lose the land. The same amount will be taken from each city. Then, the buyer will get all the land, and it is split evenly between all cities.

6. Another change is to trade military units like other resources. This can be done tanks, aircraft, ships, missiles, nukes, and artillery. It can only be done if the buyer has some space in his/her improvements.

7. While on trading, there should be a way to trade resources for resources. Like giving munitions and getting steal. It should also work with military units and land.

8. This is about another type of espionage option. It is to capture enemy spies. This is different then assassinating them, since they are now a prisoner in a nation.

9. This is the same as the previous, but this time, all spies that get caught spying on a nation won't immediately get executed, but just captured.

10. Captured spies can go back to their home country. They can be sold for money, resources, land, military units, and other spies.

11. Captured spies don't have to be sent back to their country, they can be executed.

12. Finally, spies can get some information on their own nation. This allows nations to torture spies to get information on their country. But however, it will cause a significant drop in approval, and the spies may not necessarily give away information. If they do, it might be inaccurate, or information from when they last were in their country, or even earlier.

Thank you for reading through this. Write down your thoughts below.

My game suggestion:

Rotisserie Chicken.

It can be made from "Rotisserie Chicken Mines". Which would be a new improvement.

A very versatile element of the earth, Rotisserie Chicken can be used in place of food, steel, or even munitions, for soldiers to fire from their guns.

New military unit - Rotisserie Chicken Catapult, fires 5 units of chicken, taking down 25% of an enemy's planes. Using 8 MAPs in the process .

Why ;-;

Idk, the geniuses at Zeebrus Corp. researched for months what the most beneficial addition to this game would be, concluding that rotisserie chicken would be the only one which could add to almost every aspect of the game

I've lost all hope in you... -.-

Bad idea. And this thread is only for the ideas that I've posted at the top.

That's not what Catsby said, and we all know that that took 5 minutes of thinking.

I've lost all hope in you... -.-

Same

o7 will do

Again, that's not what he said. And we DO NOT want any of your ideas again.

Just realized we can use this to first chickens into Africa, hurling them into starving people's mouths for them to feed on, saving world hunger.

Side effects may include choking, however.

1. What Solaire said.

2. Not a bad idea, but probably a lower priority than continuing to tweak the resistance system.

3. What Solaire said. If it's designed to simulate reality, it's also not especially accurate, either. I can't think of single instance when one country used the factories of another that it was still at war with.

4. If you can come up with a way to make this economically balanced and not make wars unbalanced, then it's not a bad idea. The cheapest way to get land shouldn't be via wars. It also can't be exploitable: land is cheaper at lower levels, so there's a possibility that this will weaken the exponential price limits on land.

5. See what I said in (4). If you can't find a way to prevent this from being economically exploitable, you'll wind up with a (That terrible game that is totally irrelevant and I shouldn't be bringing it up anyways)-esque mechanic where big nations get larger unchecked and new players are told to remain small to sustain older nations' growth.

6. Trading land presents the same problem I mentioned in (4) and trading military units would completely unbalance wars and make the war improvement caps implemented last year pointless since a low tier nation could "import" soldiers essentially for free its alliance's upper tier. They could do this every time they take casualties, so the recruitment capacity limit you mentioned won't do much.

7. There is: you trade munitions for $X and then buy steel for $X. Sheepy has already said part of the reason for trading everything for money is to make cheating harder.

8-12. These are all some combination of tedious, silly, or unworkable.

Yeah, I understand that

I have to agree on that

Well that's what this thread is for

Well trading units can be disabled during wars, and capacities WILL DEFINITELY also apply. And I'm sure I mentioned that soldiers can't be traded

7. There is: you trade munitions for $X and then buy steel for $X. Sheepy has already said part of the reason for trading everything for money is to make cheating harder.

Yeah, I read about that this morning

black market has been discussed before

?

you capture spies when spies attack your nation

""

you already do

I know about that, and based on that, I'm sure that you didn't read about my descriptions.

They are all about a capturing spies mechanic. In the game, you can only assassinate spies, and the capturing spies thing is different. Also, unlike in the game, spies don't automatically get executed. The way the capturing spies thing works is that spies put into prisons, and not automatically executed. They can be traded back to their home nation, or executed, but it is the player's choice. Before they get sent back home or executed, they can be interrogated to extract information about their country.

Finally a worthwhile suggestion

Please tell me you're joking.

Please tell me you're joking.

There is a search bar on the forums. You can search for threads that discuss the black market idea. Basically, it would either be overpowered or not even worth using.

He is. That's basically 95% of the forums.

Please tell me you're joking.

If you only allow players to receive exactly the same units they'd otherwise be able to recruit, all you've done is create a redundant replication of resource trading. If you want to give my x soldiers, y tanks and z planes just offer me $1 trades for the required steel and aluminum and buy 1 unit of food from me for however much all of that would cost.

Everyone knows that Ogaden doesn't have a sense of humor and is thus incapable of joking.
