Piracy on the rise, birth of the Pirate Confederacy

 

Three islands in the Bahamas are known for their history of Piracy and their current distaste and lack of respect for laws. These islands have been given independence, Independence from tyranny, and Independence from Bureaucracy. Independence, for man. After months of cries for liberty in the islands, a public referendum was held to see what course of action should be taken to get their well deserved independence. After the meeting, a month went by before word had been handed down from the Federation of Sweden and Alexiamia that the Emperor and Empress would be coming down personally to speak with the representatives of the independence movement. After brief conversations, full independence was guaranteed by the Federation. A night of celebration was in order. Weeks had gone by but Federation troops and ships had pulled out of the islands. Another month would go by with pure anarchy. Just about every fit man took to piracy, and since there was no central power to point the blame on foreign nations had to hit the pirates individually. Eventually lawlessness would take its toll on the islands and eventually people would rise up and three different factions would rule each of the islands. To reunite the islands, Pirate Captain Jack Sparrow would call for the formation of the Brethren Court. The first Brethren Court was established to act as the uniting force not just for the Caribbean Pirate islands, but for Pirates all around the world. The Pirate Confederacy would eventually come to serve all pirates and represent them. The Pirate Code was established to serve as the rules and guidelines for pirates around the world. The Brethren Court would be little power and all men would serve men not for honor, but for fame and fortune. But Honor was a key to our Code.

Code of the Pirate Brethren:

• Rule one, befriend others wisely.

• The Right of Parlay.

• Every crew member is to have an equal share in any treasure found.

• Any man who falls behind is left behind.

• An act of war can only be declared by the Pirate King, who would parley with shared adversaries. The King could only be elected by popular vote by all nine Pirate Lords.

• Any person who refuses to serve aboard a pirate's ship must die.

• Trading for products fair and square mean the seller can do as they like, including resell at profit.

• Respect your fellows on the account. Knowingly targeting and sinking other pirate ships is strictly forbidden.

• Killing a surrendered enemy is not allowed.

• To desert the ship or their quarters in battle, was punished with death or marooning.

Current Foreign Relations:

Relations with Spain slowly deteriorating as pirates raid their ships

Relations with Confederate States of Ireland are at all time low as multiple supply ships and warships have been hijacked.

Can confirm multiple ships have been hit by the Pirate Confederacy. The Ireland and the rest of the Confederate States will no longer tolerate this kind of insolence. We demand all ships be turned back over and reparations be paid for stolen cargo at once or we will be forced to intervene.

The Spanish Armada deployed Destroyers to the disputed islands, its air base in Cuba did send aircraft to protect Spanish Ships. As the Upper house meets to discuss future actions. President Garcia has been set to meet with Federation Leaders sometime soon. 

 

 President Garica said "Piracy is a dishonorable act, and we condemn those who support it. Even if they maybe our friends or allies. We will do whatever must be done to protect our trade across the world. 

 

 Military Reports have shown the Spanish Crackdown on Pirate,  and the extensive attacks on Pirate Outposts, in the beginning, half of 2017 over 810 Pirates were killed by Spanish Troops in the Mediterannian.

Amenria will not tolerate raiding of its ships or its allies, Taiyochi. Any attacks on ships from aforementioned nations will be considered as a declaration of war and will be dealt with accordingly. However, we are open to diplomatic discussions and will gladly settle things in the boardroom.

Hungadada cannot and will not accept any form of piracy. We will not tolerate any raiding or hijacking of our vessels. An attack on our vessels will prompt harsh retribution and will be seen as a declaration of war.
