The Great Encirclement

Albany, New York State

 

 

The streets of the state capital were filled with cheers from the Dutch

as the Federation Army marches through, led by the might and benevolent

Empress Alexia Beilschmidt, who liberated yet another city from the

hands of the socialist American Union. The fighting has been going 

tremendously well for the Federation, despite heavy losses.The Federation

had continued to push into New York State for the past few days, reaching

directly North of the city itself with the capture of Albany.

 

 

 

 

The Empress walked into the conference room of the town hall,

where a video conference had been arranged between her, her brother,

Emperor Gilbert Beilschmidt, and his Regent, Prince Zafri Zackery.

Soon, the meeting started.

 

 

Gilbert, smiling: Hey Nee-chan! It's nice to see you again!

 

Zafri, looking away from the camera: CIEL! I SAID SHUT THE DOOR!

*He turned back* Oops...sorry about that...

 

Alexia, giggling: Hey! It's nice to see back here again, doing what we

do best. *She chuckled* I'd like to see those progress reports up

 

 

 

Gilbert started: Well, it's doing pretty smoothly over here. The

reinforcements you wanted, led by me of course *He giggled*

We've landed in Maine and quickly moved South. We captured

the state capital of Augusta with little resistance and we'll be

moving into New Hampshire immediately. Casualties have 

been few so far. I suspect that it might be because of the 

high numbers of loyalists who were keen to join us instead.

That is all.

 

 

 

Zafri continued on with his report: New York City is definitely

hard to conquer alright *He giggled* We've invaded and taken 

much of Queens, but losses were pretty high because of all

of that urban warfare crap. We've just barely taken the airport

a few minutes ago. I've also heard that they're preparing to

blow up all the bridges and tunnels on the East River, as 

some sort of last ditch defense, so we're gonna have a tough

time even getting into Manhattan *He sighed* For now, we'll

be bombarding the island with all our artillery and prepare

to move into Brooklyn, where more heavy fighting is likely.

That is all.

 

 

 

Alexia thought over it for some time before giving her reply

Alexia: Gilb, you're doing great! Keep doing what you're doing!

For Zaf, it's fine. I'll be pushing South tomorrow and we'll commence

a two pronged attack on the city itself. Once, we capture the 

capital, we'll win. *She giggled while the rest nodded in agreement*

Alright then, Let's go!
