The navigation systems were broken and she had no idea how to get to her destination. The crew all looked at her sadly as she tried to find the correct trajectory. She looked out of the window at the stars. One, in particular, shined brighter than the rest. She wondered which star this was that shined so brightly. Another ship appeared and requested to talk to her. She switched on the communication systems and spoke. “Hello? This is Zah’Aharon.†“This is Polaris. We saw that you were lost and we wanted to help.†A woman’s voice replied. “Thank you. Will you please help us find our destination?†Polaris agreed, setting out the terms of how they would help: I Polaris and TUE agree to share any information pertaining to their relationship and for the good of each other. Confidentiality will be upheld and information will be shared in private. II Polaris and TUE agree never to attack each other. Any problems will be handled in private and in a polite manner. III Polaris will defend TUE against raids and acts of war. TUE will come to the aid of Polaris if attacked if it is feasible and requested by Polaris. IV This protectorate will be reviewed every 2 months to see if anything needs changing or upgrading. V If for some reason either alliance wants to cancel the treaty, they must inform the other 48 hours in advance before making it public. After this a NAP will be maintained for 72 hours. Zah’Aharon thanked Polaris for their help and exchanged contact details. She knew now where to go and headed straight for that bright star whom she now knew the name of. It was known as The North Star, Polaris.
