Question on military purchase

In test server, along with the stack system, military purchases were based on turns rather than at the end of a day. But along with the stack system, turn based military purchase was also scrapped. Is there any reason for not implementing the turn based military purchase?

 

As far as I can think of, it provides (1) flexibility to everyone and (2) adds a level of surprise as far as blitz timing is concerned

whereas with the current system, (1) everyone is required to be online at the same time and (2) everyone knows war will start exactly at a particular time of the day.

while i do kind of like that idea, here is the issue i see with it(unless im wrong about how it works)

if you divide the daily production limit into the twelve turns, a person who logs in once a day would be disadvantaged in military production as they would take more days to reach full capacity of their military, making them an even easier target.

however if it was accumulative up unto a day stacking up to a certain amount a day that would be a good work around



of course i wasnt around for test server so im not sure if that is how it already worked or not.

I think you are referring stack system + turn based military purchase. My question is just about turn based military purchase, without stacks. Even if someone logs in once a day, they should be able to build military in the same pace like someone who logs in more than once.

 

Currently we are getting revenue every turn, gathering taxes every turn and so on, so why not build military per turn? Why to build military every day instead? That's my question

I scrapped it because it was very complicated and I wanted to focus on other changes first. It's possible that I'll make an update in the future to eliminate the universal update time that disadvantages some players, but it won't be in this upcoming update.
