TIMES OF ERMBER

7th April 2006 (orbis time)

Lead Opposition Party president Kayo mu Son has unveiled former state vice president Bent Venew as his running mate in the coming presidential elections. This move has not been widely accepted among party members who wish to have a proper convention to elect new leadership after the party founder and former chief opposition leader Republis Mossi resigned from active politics. Mr. mu Son has been Mr. Venew's aid during his case and its believed that mr Bent Venew is seeking revenge for his prosecutions and won't stop at nothing. The Democratic Party leader Mr. Given Hymn has applauded the Electoral Commissions decision to postpone the presidential elections seeing as polling stations wouldn't be accessible due to weather problems. He was speaking after he applied for presidency at the government building alongside his running mate Dr. Sin du Sin (former Bio Medical Professor at the Medical University of Ermber). Each political party deposited Fr8,000.00c into the Electoral Commission's account before officially applying for candidature.
